Chapter 29

‘look at this, it’s so cute!” charlotte showed the magazine to Danielle.

“It is!” Danielle smiled.

It was a baby magazine, and they were looking at pictures of baby clothes. This time, they were hanging out at charlotte’s house. The devil was out, where to they didn’t know, or care.

“This one is much cuter.” Danielle said, showing a picture of a baby in a pink dress.

“Yup. It’s nice.” Charlotte looked through the magazine again, searching for more baby pictures.

“You know,” charlotte said, without looking up from the magazine. “You haven’t bought anything for your baby.”

“What do you mean?” Danielle asked.

“I mean, you’re six months already, and you haven’t bought a cradle, or crib, or bottles, or anything.” Charlotte replied, raising her shoulders. “Its like you’re not preparing for the arrival of the baby.”

“I try not to.” Danielle answered simply.

“Why not?”

“Well, it’s not that I'm happy having this baby, that I should buy him stuffs, and besides, if I go shopping for baby clothes and stuffs, people would recognize me.”

“Danny, it’s not that you’re happy with him, that you should buy him stuffs, it’s because he’s your child, and he has needs, that you should buy him stuffs.” Charlotte explained.

“Oh, what's the difference.”

“You want to leave your baby naked then? Let him catch the flu, and die? Charlotte asked. “Come on Danny, the baby is innocent. It didn’t ask to be made!”

Danielle tried to ignore Charlotte words but she knew Charlotte was right.

“But what if someone recognize me?”

“We’ll go when there is no one at the stores.”

“But then we will never go, because that will never happen. There isn’t a time where no one goes to the store, there’s always at least, two or three person, even when it’s during work hours.”  Danielle frowned.

“Okay we’ll go under disguise.” Charlotte said.

“I don’t think that’ll work.” Danielle shook her head.

“Oh come on.” Charlotte cried. “Do you want to go or not?”

“I do. But-“

“Then let’s go. Just wear hats and sunglasses or anything and we’ll be okay.”

Danielle sighed. “Okay.”

Half an hour later, they were out in Charlotte’s car, with Charlotte driving. They went to the mall where Danielle first met Greyson.

“Uh, why are we going here?” Danielle asked, looking around.

“Because I like it here, and it’s not that crowded today.”

Charlotte found a parking spot near to the lobby, so that if anyone does recognize them, it would be easy to run for it.

That day wasn’t so cold, but it wasn’t warm enough for them to wear short jeans. Danielle wore skin tight jeans, white blouse and a black leather and fur jacket. She let her brownish black hair loose on her shoulder. But she didn’t wear black sunglasses. Instead, she wore browned colored contact lens. Danielle wore a big sized blouse so that it wouldn’t hurt her stomach.
