"No, we're just freakishly good at being awkward together. Uh... Yes! Actually, you do seem familiar as more than just a celebrity and we did chat with that one really nice girl at the clubhouse that one day, right Morgan?" Rayne replies, turning to her friend as she concluded her response.
"Indeed we did," Morgan agrees. "Wait, didn't you say there were three things, Danielle?"
Dani chuckles lightly. "I knew you two seemed oddly familiar. Thanks for showing me the way back to my street, by the way. Oh! Right! I was just going to say that it was a pleasure to meet you... Again."
"Oh, yeah. It's the only street I know how to get to because that's where my parents' house is," Rayne admits, blushing for the third time in the past fifteen minutes.
"I'd like to thank you, too, then. I would be terribly upset if my girlfriend hadn't come back in one piece," I tell the girls, shooting them both a genuine smile. They seem nice and not openly obsessed with the lads and I. "Where are you headed from here?" I ask, trying to be polite.
"London, then... What's it called again?" Rayne asks, turning to the other girl.
"Edinburgh. Geez, do you ever listen?" Morgan jokes. I can tell just by listening to their banter that they're close friends.
"Yeah, that's the one," Rayne continues with a cheeky grin. "And then we go to Dublin for a week or so and then BAM! Back to boring old Toronto. Bleh."
I find myself laughing at the two girls and how silly they act for two university-bound young women. "Are you sure you're old enough to be going off to university?" I inquire, mocking them.
"'Scuse me? I'm almost 19, you poohead!" Rayne whines, not helping her case.
"I'll be 18 on Hallowe'en," Morgan states with an air of pride.
"Oh really, Miss Rayne? I'll be 19 soon, too," I add, causing her to get even more riled up.
"I'm older than you, buttface," she says, sticking her tongue out at me. I can see Dani shaking her head and laughing out of the corner of my eye.
"Yeah? When's your birthday then?"
"August 27th. Hah! The internet already told me your birthday is the 29th!" Rayne mocks me, acting snobby and such.
I roll my eyes and breathe a sigh of defeat. "Fine, you win. You're older than me." I pause a moment before quickly adding, "But still less mature."
"I'm going to ignore that comment because killing a popstar might earn me a bad reputation," Rayne grumbles.
Oh how I've missed people who treat me like a human being... Maybe... No, Liam, bad. Don't do it! "Hey, how about while you two are in London you let the lads and I show you around?" I offer, ignoring my mental protests. Honestly, I think that Niall and Louis will get along great with Rayne's crazy personality. And all of the lads will probably enjoy how calm Morgan constantly seems to be.
"Alright, but I'm going to warn you now that Rayne is not as crazy as usual right now," Morgan insists, her expression practically screaming that she's being dead serious.
"Yeah, and Morgan seems to pick up a sailor's mouth whenever she's in the UK. But maybe that's just when she visits her sister..." Rayne is quick to add, obviously hoping to not seem like the only weirdo.
"As long as you can both keep from screaming in the boys' faces, they'll definitely get along with you both," I assure them. "Well, actually, don't swear in front of Harry. He's touchy about cussing."
"And if you get tired of having the five freaks showing you around, I would love to have some girl time with someone!" Danielle exclaims, seemingly excited to have these girls joining us.
We talk a bit longer and exchange cellphone numbers and such. After a little while, the conversation dies down as I become too anxious to speak. I try to focus on everything around me, from the hint of red in Rayne's brownish hair to the blue streak in Morgan's bangs. I notice that Rayne is actually really quiet when Morgan goes off to the bathroom and that Morgan is more excitable than she originally let on. When get ready to board our flight, I realize that Morgan is actually a couple of inches taller than me while Rayne is a couple of inches shorter. And they both have an odd sense of fashion; Rayne is wearing purple shorts, a red tank top and a turquoise/white striped semi-clear shirt while Morgan is wearing a pair of black pants with chains and bondage straps, a zebra print tank top and a royal blue jumper that has her name and a picture of a horse on it.
When we're finally seated on the plane, I feel myself calming down and relaxing. I stop looking for distractions and just focus on resting up throughout the flight. I weave in and out of dreams of what might happen when we finally land and of worlds where I could be open about my relationship with Niall. I even dream about announcing my love for my Irish boyfriend to the world without permission from management. But, of course, I was so unlucky as to be woken abruptly by the pilot's voice over the intercom just as I was about to confront management.
"Everyone please remain seated and fasten your seatbelts. We will be arriving at the Heathrow Airport in London in approximately 15 minutes or 10:55 local time. Thank you for flying with United Airlines**"
I feel like I must still be dreaming as the plane descends upon the still-busy city below, but then Danielle turns to me with a smile and kisses my cheek. "I got you back just in time, babe. Now go get 'im, tiger!"

P.S. I tried my best to fix any issues with this chapter, but I just have to point out for next time that if there is a new paragraph started while the same person is talking, it implies that a short period of time has passed, ending the previous conversation. I'll try to be more clear in the future.
