Calvin's been calling her out on all the shit she does that he's superstitious about since she met him. They've been best friends since grade school, and being a part of each other's lives and futures was never even a question when they applied to university on another continent. Sticking together's how they've adapted to this new life and environment so well. Their regular vacations help. And when she sees crowds running down the street while buying supplies and getting ready for their next one, he doesn't hesitate to blame the end of days on the pole she split that morning.

The last thing he wanted was to be in some life-or-death situation in a group of 4 people, Rose says any numbers a good number though. It's been the 2 of them for as far back as he can remember: growing up next door to each other; talking with each other before, maybe during and after first times; trying and failing to improve their language skills while learning how to live together in their new city; transitioning from pre-med to med school together; escaping their city to the country together. Considering how many people they've seen get wiped out, Rose might be right about numbers.

With their major and most of command dead, she's taking control of the situation. Being intelligence, she didn't have the best relationship with any type of military, and dead or alive, most if not all the team had some issue with her. They still make a well-oiled machine together though. But the way they're waiting for orders that are never coming has her scared for all of them, so she takes some initiative, convinces Khaled and a few more to roll out, and now they're the closest thing humanity has to a fighting force.

He can't count how many people he fought with who died in the past 24 hrs. They tried to save lives, went in without a thought and lost their own. Like Eve said, they're up against a superior force, so they need to get who they can to safety, get answers and plan this right. He figured somebody in intelligence doesn't belong in a war, but she's the best strategist they got.

She's the best pilot they got, even before the rest of their pilots were swatted out of the sky. William always said she can pilot or drive anything better than anybody else he knows and he's to wrong. And after they lose their team's sniper, she's working overtime in this resistance. She's been in special forces for several years, but she's welcoming this new order with less orders. She knows command would've told her to honor her team's deaths by following orders like she always has -- if she had a personality transplant and even asked them about confirming the one who may have survived to begin with. Eve knows she needs her on her team though. And she's all for backing her up to find William, especially if that's her only stipulation.

He always said he'd let her take him anywhere long as she was at the wheel, and if he ever sees her again, he's dragging her so hard for making him fall out of her chopper. To do that, he just needs to get his ass out of the sea. Once he makes it to what looked like el-Gherdaqa -- but like it had a really rough night -- all he needs to do is avoid what he suspects are aliens.

Almost forgot, AfriSpace's supposed to launch in a few yrs! So that's a little background, and I fucking love international apocalyptic and post-apocalyptic fanfics I been making all these plots for TWD and everything I'm mad I haven't moved them out of the U.S.
Last thing, aint too good at writing tones (humor, horror, etc) and everything, and I didn't put enough horror in this so if you like any of the Cloverfield movies, then ofc there should be more horror than there was here!
