Can I even do this if I've never written a story in my life
Side Note -- I just need to reiterate or iterate what I reiterate later -- my titles are shit they're ridiculous y3ni like if you actually like a concept in here, you don't even need to ask...
It's been centuries since the human race microwaved the Earth and the remnants of humanity fled for the stars. But times are so dire returning's now a real consideration. When the U.S.S. Reagan takes command and makes a executive decision to send all juvenile delinquents to die, the NNS Houma is the lone dissident in the fleet and for that, one ship turns its guns on another for the first time and starts a war.
Facing critical damage, casualties, including their commander, and the harsh reality they're the only ship to survive the Reagan's assault, the Houma's only choice is to make a one-way trip to where their future generation was killed. Least that's what they thought til the Houma's newly-elected commander determined they crash-landed on a different continent of the planet right before slipping into a coma
Fortunately, the discovery they can survive on this planet combined with the encounters they've had with the advanced, peaceful people who have lived down here for who knows how long brings them hope and motivates them to head north to the next continent in search of any trace of those kids. Unfortunately, the grounders willing to help them on their journey have been close-mouthed about potential hostiles along the way
