"Oh my god, fine, woman. It sounds so weird when you say it like that!" He pauses, staring at me stupidly. "Although..." he teases, and I quickly shove him out, while he chuckles, catching me red handed. Or more specifically, with the blush spreading up my neck.

"I hate you!" I call out stubbornly, closing the door.

"I love you too, sweetheart."

Ah, this day is going to be the death of me!

"Aruvi! Stop being difficult!" I scold my daughter, as she sits in the tub with her arms wailing around her.

She stops, seeing my scowl.

"What's the problem, here?" Aniket strides in, looking over my shoulders. Aruvi stares at Aniket, blinking. "Ah, is my little girl afraid of water?" He cooes, while Aruvi folds her arms and shakes sternly in no.

"I'm not scared!" The little girl cries, glaring at the both of us.

I follow Aniket's lead, mocking her. "Oh, you are, aren't you? Little Aruvi is scared of water!" I yell out, and her scowl deepens, and she starts wailing again.

I stare at Aruvi. She is an alien I will never understand. "Let me take care of this." Aniket whispers into my ear, kissing the side of my neck gently before moving me to the side. He sits at the edge of the tub, turning Aruvi to face him. Aruvi stops her crying, her hands dropping to her sides.

Aniket is a magician. Or a child-whisperer. How come she likes him and not me?

I decide to watch what happens next. There is no way Aniket is going to bathe the stubborn minx without getting water over himself.

Yet, to my shock, Aruvi doesn't move an inch as he pours water over her hair. She stands still as he lathers soap over her tiny frame, skipping her underwear and her hair. He takes the sponge, and squeezes more of the body wash into it, scrubbing over her body like it was made of glass.

My jaw drops as Aruvi smiles as he flicks water at her face. She giggles, flicking water at his face in return. He laughs, turning on the shower for her. The water pours down on her and the tiny devil dances in the tub, like it was rain. She waddles towards the overhead, reaching up to feel the warm water on her skin.

Aniket turns her around, and lathers the shampoo into her hair, effectively distracting her with the rain of water. He scrubs and pats the shampoo onto her hair, cleaning the gunk off. He pushes her gently into the shower, and the water cleanses her fully.

"Finish up and come to the closet, alright?" He says to the girl, and she bobs her head furiously.

He closes the curtain, and Aruvi throws out her inner wear. Aniket hands her the towel, reaching into the curtain to turn off the shower. She runs out, wearing the towel around her body. Aniket picks her up, chuckling as she tries to escape from his grasp.

He kisses the top of her head while she sits in his arm. "That was easy, wasn't it? Why were you troubling Mama?" He asks, pouting at her.

She pouts back and shrugs, as if she didn't know the answer. She leans in, whispering something into his ear as if it was top-secret information, meant only for him.

"Oh, really?" He asks, pulling back from their secret conversation. Aruvi nods, smiling sweetly at him.

Aniket walks into the closet, placing her on the carpet. He reaches to get the body lotion on the top shelf, still holding Aruvi's hand. He motions me over, handing me the lotion.
