July 30th
Joanna,

"What do you think?" I asked Sandra. "It's better than the first one." She smiled. I put the blouse and the blue jeans on the bed. Sandra walked to the closet and picked a pair of white jeans.

"Now this will go better with that blouse." She replaced the blue jeans with the white ones. "What type of shoes are you thinking?" Sandra asked. I went to the closet and I picked out brown heels. "These." I showed Sandra.

These are my favorite shoes. I'm nervous. It's our first date and we've been through some things. What if it goes wrong?

"Let's do your makeup now." Sandra said. I nodded. I sat on the bed and allowed her to do my makeup which was light.

"I'm going to get a drink cause I'm thirsty." Sandra left the room. I got into my outfit for the date. I looked at my jewelry.

"That outfit doesn't need any jewelry it's just fine how it is

"That outfit doesn't need any jewelry it's just fine how it is." I jumped. I turned around and I saw Jacob. I hugged him.

"What are you doing here?" I wondered. "I came to check on you. Camille said that y'all haven't been talking." He mentioned. "Well I've been busy." I stated.

"Too busy to answer your sister's calls or call her back?" He questioned. "I didn't get any of her calls." I told him. I picked up my phone and showed him.

Either she lied or there's some type of misunderstanding. I'll call her later. "You're right." He handed me back my phone. I nodded.

"Have you been taking your iron pills?" He asked. "I-" My phone started ringing and I answered it. "Hi." I said. "Hi. I need to cancel our date I have something to handle." He informed me.

"That's fine." I said and then I dropped the call. I was mad that he waited last minute to tell me this. I was already in the mood to go out.

"What was that about?" Jacob asked. "My date just got cancelled." I mentioned. Sandra hasn't came up here yet. I decided to go downstairs to see what she is doing.

She's yelling on the phone. Someone definitely must've done something to the extent she had to raise her voice.

"Daniel you know what? We can't do this. I'm done." She said and then she ended the call. "What happened?" I asked. "He met up with his ex and ... you know the rest." She said.

"Men." I sighed. "Isn't Lanre supposed to be here?" She asked me. "He's not coming. He has something to handle." I said.

"Let's go to the lounge and forget about men." She suggested. "I'll see you later Joanna. Mom needs my help." Jacob stated. I said bye to him and he left.

I went to the fridge and took a bottle of water and I drank it. The doorbell rang. I answered it. It was Camille with two small luggages. I took them from her and she came in.

"What are you doing here?" I wondered. Why'd she bring two luggages? "Mom kicked me out and told me to come and stay here for the rest of the summer." She said.

Sandra laughed. I glared at her. "Why'd she kick you out?" Sandra wondered. Mom hardly kicks anyone out.

"I have been inside all summer and she doesn't like it. She says that Joanna and Kelly should be dragging me out." She mentioned.

I took her bags to the room that was empty. "Jacob told me you have been calling me but I've never gotten any of your calls." I mentioned.

"I have. Why can't you call me?" She crossed my arms. "I actually have a life." I joked. She lightly pushed me. "Not funny." She said.

"Anyways we're going to the lounge, do you want to come?" I asked. She nodded. We went to the lounge which is a where most Africans hang out since it's owned by a Nigerian.

(Camille is on the left. Sandra is on the right.)
