Today in health class we were assigned to read and answer some questions about depression from an article.

Not so bad right? I mean I'm familiar with the topic so it should be easy right? WRONG.

This article was so full of shit I started shaking cause I was so mad. For example, Their tips for "Dealing and Healing from Depression" Mainly consisted of

-Clean a bit (even though in the article it also stressed that people with depression are often not able to motivate themselves)
-Be Active! Go enjoy the sunshine! (I have a solid amount of snow COVERING the place, No.)
-Eat Healthy! Because that's gonna change SO much
-Smile! (We do to cover it up everyday bitch what?)
-Enjoy the little things!
-Go out with friends! (I don't have friends and I can't drive and I have no money. No.)

H O W IS THAT GONNA CURE DEPRESSION? THATS LIKE SAYING "people shouldn't have Athsma because we have air" LIKE JUST CAUSE WE HAVE SUN AND HAVE HAPPY THINGS DOES NOT MEAN WE ARE HAPPY

AND THEIR DESCRIPTION OF DEPRESSION SUCKED EVEN MORE! "Sometimes depression can last for a few days at a time" TRY YEARS "It is different for everyone but the main thing is negative thinking and sadness." BITCH NO?

SO how am I supposed to just be okay with this fake ass shit? Like? What?
How about on the test I write REAL descriptions, Write what it's REALLY like to suffer from it, write ACTUAL WAYS I HAVE LEARNED FROM TUMBLR (NO JOKE) TO COPE SUCH AS "There won't be anyone to do my sisters hair in the morning." "I want to see how this show finishes." "I haven't met this actor yet and I want to before I die." "In two minutes After I do this small thing I'll see how painless it is and it'll be okay" SELF CARE ISNT ALWAYS TAKING A VACATION AND PUTTING ON A FACE MASK LIKE THE ARTICLE SUGGESTED. SELF CARE IS LITTLE THINGS, LIKE BRUSHING YOUR HAIR OR TAKING A SHOWER. EATING A PROPER MEAL AND DRINKING A GLASS OF WATER. SOMETIMES ITS JUST GOING TO BED AND ATTEMPTING TO SLEEP A FEW HOURS BEFORE ITS LIKE FIVE IN THE MORNING. AND SOMETIMES ITS JUST DISTANCING YOURSELF FOR A FEW DAYS UNTIL YOURE OKAY ENOUGH TO TAKE ANOTHER STEP.

God. Their advice was about as bad as (even though this isn't bad it just sounds horrible) "Invest in a treadmill desk, Don't drink coffee, and stick to a healthy diet."

Anyways.
