okay so i need to explain some stuff before y'all read this okay first, lets pretend that the curtis parents died when pony was three, soda was thirteen, darry was sixteen and y/n was 14. y/n is a curtis in this and she is the second oldest after darry. and in this dallas and y/n are like fourteen so yeah also steve is there neighbour in this.

MUST READ ^

y/n walked down the hall, it had been five months since all her friends had stopped talking to her and five months since her parents died. she was now the 'mum.' of the house, she did the laundry, did dinner, cleaned, she was practically raising pony. when she took him to the supermarket people thought she was his no good greaser fourteen year old mum. she wasn't but she didn't care what they thought, pony was her brother and she was damn sure gonna raise him better then foster parents would.

darry was at football practice, soda was with his friends who y/n hadn't met yet. she had only met steve and they got along just fine, she treated him like a brother. it was another friday night, y/n just picked pony up from nancy the old lady who said she would babysit for her while she was at school.

she walked home with pony, her hand holding his she walked into the house that was empty, messy, and well home. she put ponyboy down for a nap in her bed after she patted him to sleep she quietly closed the door walking out picking up laundry on the way she put them in the washing machine and went outside to bring the clothes in that where dry on the clothesline.

she had changed from her school clothes into, a tank top that was white and old, mum jeans, and walked barefoot out into her small backyard. her fence was chipped, decaying but still standing. she had put her hair up sweating in the heat of spring. she pulled clothes off, and sighed. as she was the pulling the clothes of she day dreamed.

until she heard a voice.

"watcha' ya doin'?"

she looked for the voice until she spotted, a boy his hair dark and fell across his forehead, he wore a black t-shirt from what she could see. he was leaning on the fence watching her.

"what does it look like? doing the laundry." she said like she was talking to a four year old.

"why?" he asked his voice just hitting puberty.

"because my brother darry is at football pratice, sodapop is over there with steve doing who knows what, and pony's asleep and four so i don't think he would be much help. long story short if i don't do it no one will." she said still putting them in the basket.

"right. i know soda. we hang out, but why can't your parents do it?"

he asked looking over at the girl his age who seemed so much better then the other girls. she wore clothes easily, he saw her around school a couple of times but she didn't notice at all. she was the curtis sister everyone talked about, people made rumours about her. but he saw her in a fight once with a soc. she was saying that she screwed around and pony was actually her kid. y/n got suspended for that. that's when dallas started to really like the idea of y/n curtis.

"because they died five months ago in a auto wreck." she said holding back the tears. he noticed them. she quickly wiped one, and pretended nothing happened. dallas never really said sorry but right now he felt the need to when he saw the girl shed a tear.

"i'm sorry," he said serious.

she looked up smiling nicely. "don't be it wasn't your fault." she replied.

"what's your name doll?" he asked.

y/n blushed at the nickname. "y/n, y/n curtis." she said looking up.

"well y/n, y/n curtis. i'm dallas, dallas winston." he said smirking.

she chuckled and then realised he said dallas winston. she smirked and looked over. "so you're the boy that everyone keeps talking about. all the girls tell me about you they are in love with you and i didn't even know who you were. crazy well now i met ya." she said smiling at the boy. he smirked.

she quickly added "now i see why they can't stop talking about you." she said making the greaser blush.

"well, now i see what the boys are talking about a school." he said teasing back.

"what do they say about lil' ol' me?" she asked, picking the basket up about to go inside.

"that you are really pretty, smart, nice, and take care of your brothers." he said smiling.

y/n shook her head laughing. "don't worry dallas i know damn straight what they say about me. 'oh yeah she is a slut.' or 'the weird orphan girl.' " y/n said still laughing at the people who have said it to her.

"well i don't think you're any of things people say in my opinion." he said grinning.

"thanks dally." she said making a nickname.

"no problem curtis."

she waved goodbye and walked inside swaying her hips more than usual. the two fourteen years old landed big fat crushes. dallas went back inside to steve and soda.

y/n shut the back door sliding down it giggling. darry walked by and saw her smiling to herself.

"okay, who's the boy?" he asked putting his hand on his hips.

she got up, patted his shoulder.

"don't worry. there is no boy good enough for me." she joked sitting on the couch folding clothes whilst watching mickey waiting for soda to get home so she could cook dinner.

three years later.

"y/n curtis will you marry me?" asked a dallas winston kneeling.

tears spilled her eyes she bent down and his kissed, she pulled back.

"yes! of course i will doofus!"

they got married had five kids and lived happily ever after.

well not really but good enough for them.
