A lot of people come here and they're very nervous and anxious about following the etiquette; etiquette that they don't really comprehend. You kind of get a free pass to make mistakes being a foreigner in Japan.
People here are understanding, kind, and will let you off, so don't become too nervous about following all the rules. Do your best, but don't become a nervous wreck.
