"Mom! No!" Luna cried, visibly shaking as she used every bit of power she had in her, desperately trying to heal the beautiful woman lying in front of her. "Please, just hold on a little longer..."

She held her hands above her mother's stomach as a soft blue glow lit up both of their faces. All around them were the burning homes of her friends, her family... Screams pierced the night air as the terrified citizens of their planet ran for their lives.

Why is this happening?! Luna thought desperately as another heart wrenching scream made her stomach turn. What did any of us ever do to deserve this-

"Luna, y-you have to get out of here..." Celestia gasped, fighting to keep her eyes open as she stared at her daughter's panicked expression.

This... This is the last time I'm going to be able to see her face... She thought briefly, the realization hitting her hard as tears ran down her face and her heart ached. She could barely feel the pain... She knew her daughter was doing her best to revive her, but it wouldn't be enough. Luna needed to use this time to make an escape...

"Please..." Celestia begged, feeling her eyelids grow heavy. "P-please just run... You need to save yourself..."

"I'm not leaving you!" The lavender haired girl choked, staring at the only person who meant everything to her. Suddenly she jumped, feeling hopeful as her mother's eyes shot open, looking behind her as she shouted.

"LUNA! RUN!"

"Wha-"

A beam of energy slammed into the older woman's chest as her head hit the ground from the force of the impact. Her silver eyes were wide and lifeless, a look of terror was the last expression she wore as her daughter sat there staring. Luna was too shocked for a moment to move, unable to comprehend what had just happened as a sickeningly evil laughter filled her ears.

"N-no... No..."

"What do we have here?" The sinister voice questioned from behind her, the surrounding area growing strangely quiet as the screams she heard beforehand were becoming less frequent. "A healer? Those are very rare indeed... Zarbon?"

"Yes, Lord Frieza?"

"Detain her. She will be very useful to me..." He laughed as the green haired man nodded once, immediately moving forward and grabbing the small girl roughly by the arms. His contact snapped her out of her trance as she whirled around quickly, surprising everyone as she kicked the larger man in the stomach, preparing to launch another attack as Frieza looked on somewhat amused by the strange girl's antics.

Of course, Zarbon was much stronger than her and after recovering from the initial shock of her defiance, he merely backhanded her, sending her flying into the dirt. She gasped, fighting to put the air back into her lungs as she glanced up, seeing him standing above her, a wicked smirk plastered across his face.

"I would suggest not trying anything like that again." He threatened, grabbing her by the hair and lifting her up while ignoring her cries of pain.

"Dodoria, clean up here." Frieza ordered as the fat pink man grinned evilly before blasting a nearby home, turning it to ash.

"There are to be no survivors..."

Luna looked at the monster who was giving orders, seeing him for the first time as a single thought registered in her mind. He's the one... He's the one who killed her... She choked out a sob as she watched her only home burn, memories flooding her mind as she made a promise. Mother... I... I'll make them pay for what they've done... I swear...

"Zarbon, let's go." Frieza commanded, making his way towards the gigantic ship in the distance as the larger man followed suit quickly, dragging Luna along with him.

"Now that I've gotten something useful out of this pathetic excuse for a planet," Frieza continued while casting a brief glance at the girl who was still struggling in his henchman's grasp. "When Dodoria has finished having his fun, he is to reduce this disgusting rock to a pile of rubble... Is that clear?"

"Yes, Lord Frieza."

"Lock her in a holding cell and return to me at once, we are setting a course for planet Rokoske."

"NOOO!" Luna screamed, thrashing about violently as she kicked and punched the man holding her with every ounce of strength she had left. A sudden strike to the back of the neck silenced her as her eyes went wide momentarily before passing out.
