Hanging Out

The next morning, you woke up to waffles being made. You even detected a faint smell of popcorn and strawberries. You knew what was going down. You got up and limped to the kitchen area sleepily.

"Good morning Y/N!" Steven said eagerly. "I'm making Together Breakfast for us! I hope that's okay with you!"

"Yeah, it's fine. Always wanted to try it." You reply.

"I think we need it after the things that just happened. We were in space fighting these intergalactic dictators and got them on our side and healed all the corrupted gems on Earth."

"Wow. That's.... a lot for a kid to deal with. Are you okay?!" You said, nervously laughing.

He giggled. "Yeah, I'm fine."

"Seriously, after all you've been through, almost dying multiple times, you must have some PTSD."

".... How did you know that?" He looked confused.

"What?"

"How did you know that I almost died?"

You finally realized exactly what you said. It just slipped.

"I just...... had a hunch. You guys always saving the day, fighting monsters, saving the Earth, I figured there had been some experiences like that."

"Oh. Okay."

"Hey, wanna walk around the boardwalk later? Me and Connie can show you around!" He said.

"Uh, okay. Sure." You replied.

After spending the day getting pizza, banging on the counter asking for The Bits, and running around Funland, you all went back to the Temple.

Steven and Connie were walking ahead of you chatting and smiling. Thank God they haven't seen the fanart.

"Should I tell them?" You thought to yourself. "I want to go home, but I also don't want to leave. And they'll think I'm crazy if I tell them the truth."

You finally made your decision.

When you got inside you called out, "Hey, guys?"

"Yeah Y/N? What is it?" Connie said.

"I...... I have something to tell you...."
