Meeting the Gems

"Hi Mr, Dewey!" A small boy greeted, sauntering through the door. "I'll have a dozen chocolate Deweys!"

"Hello, Steven! Have you met Y/N? They're new in town."

"No, I haven't. Hi! I'm Steven! You probably would have guessed that by now."

"Yeah..." you laughed awkwardly. You definetely knew him.

Mr. Dewey handed Steven the donuts and he payed for the treats. You stood there, filled with social anxiety.

"Hey, me, the gems, Connie, and Sadie are getting together to welcome Lars back to Earth. Wanna hang out with us?" Steven said.

"Heck yeah!" You said excitedly.

"Then let's go! Follow me, my house is over here!" Steven grabbed your arm and you both ran out the door, Mr. Dewey waving goodbye.

You looked upon the temple where Steven lived, and marveled at its masterful carving. Pink Diamond's leg ship was sitting cross legged on the hill the temple was in. As soon as you saw it, all you could think was

You and Steven walked into the house. "Hey guys!!" He yelled, waving. "This is Y/N! I invited them over too! Y/N, this is Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl! And over here is Connie!"

You saw the Gems sitting on the couch with a bunch of pizza boxes stacked on top of the coffee table. Strung across the room was a banner saying in messily painted letters, "welcome home Lars!"

"Hello." Said Pearl politely.

"Whaddup." Said Amethyst, with one arm behind her head and the other casually waving.

"Howdy. Bang." Garnet said, finger gunning. You knew Ruby was a cowboy long before they found out about who Rose was.

"Oh, I see them coming! Get ready!" Steven whisper-shouted. You sat on the couch next to Garnet.
