I Didn't Know I Loved Him (Until He Showed Me)

CHAPTER 5 : Breakfast and Games

"Breakfast in bed for the lady," someone said as the door opened. I shot up from the bed and my head didn't spin so I guess I was okay now. There was a few chuckles before someone said, "Breakfast in bed for you Hayley." I recognized it as Ethan.

"Oh," I mumbled and felt my cheeks burn up.

Ethan fixed my pillows so I could lean on them and Elliot place a tray of food in my lap. I eyed it and I could've sworn I was drooling. I never had breakfast 'cause my mom never cooked or bought anything and I never learned to cook anything. The only thing I could really make for myself was cereal and I never bothered with buying any. There was a mix of pancakes and waffles, eggs, bacon, French toast, orange juice, milk and my personal favorite, water on the tray. I blinked, not believing this was real.

"Try something," Elliot said to me as he sat beside me on the other side of Ethan's bed.

"We fixed it all for you," Ethan added as he leaned against the bed post.

"Thanks you guys! You didn't have to to this for me," I told them and looked back at the tray.

"Oh but we did," Elliot replied and nudged my shoulder. I giggled and grinned at him. I grinned at Ethan too and he just smiled back sadly. What was his problem? I looked back at the tray and grinned.

"Which one should I try first?" I asked to myself but Elli answered.

"Waffles! I made that!" he squealed like a little girl. I laughed so hard that the tray almost fell off my lap. If Ethan hadn't grab it, it would've been a real waste of food.

"Okay then," I said and took a bite of it. I died and went to heaven. I moaned at how delicious it was. There were no words that could describe it.

"Holy crap! Did you guys like, finally learn to cook while I was asleep?!" I screamed and took another mouthful of the waffle. The guys laughed loudly. Ethan sat at my feet and leaned against the bed post. There was a knock at the door right when I was gonna take a bite out of my pancakes.

"I'm going now. Just wanted to drop-in and say 'bye'. I also wanted to see how Hayley's doing," Anna said as she walked over to us. "I see you're liking your breakfast. What do you think of my cooking?" My jaw dropped and I looked up at her.

"You made all this?" I asked. The boys started coughing.

"Who else?" she said and looked at me confused.

"The guys said they made this," grumbled and pouted.

"Well, they must be very good liars for you to believe them," she chuckled in reply. "I have to go now. Bye, guys!" She kissed each one of us on the forehead and left.

As soon as I heard the door click, I screamed, "I hate you guys!" I threw half of my pancake to Elli and the other one to Eth.

"Food shouldn't go to waste," Eth said and stuffed it in his mouth. I was about to say something to Elli but when I turned to him he also had the pancake stuffed in his mouth.

"I can't finish this all! I'm gonna puke!" I screamed after I tried to drink the last glass of tea and pushed the tray off my lap. Elli chuckled and then took the tray so he could put it on the table.

"So, how're you feeling?" Ethan asked me with a concerned voice.

"Better," I sighed, "but I think this feeling is gonna go away as soon as I get home."

"Dammit, Hayley. You need to report her," Elliot said and I could tell he was trying to hold him self back.

"I will but not right now, not when I need her," I whispered and fell back into the pillows.
