Then, I heard him scoff, making me softly chuckle.

I still felt the blush on my cheeks stay there, almost as if they were permanent.

No, no, no. I can't- I couldn't have fallen for him.

I sighed to myself.

[Maps' POV]

"How did this happen?" I spoke to my reflection in my mirror.

"He could be a play boy for all I know" I whispered.

I looked up to meet my own eyes, "Okay, I just have to keep my distance"

Wait, but I can't.

I forgot we had a project to do in Algebra ll class.

"It is almost the end of the marking period... You all know what that means" Mr. Mars smirks

"Noo..." whined a girl.

"Shit..." another boy murmered.

"Fuck..." I heard the girl in front of me sigh.

What? What does it mean?

"Project time!" Mr. Mars shouted with joy.

"Aw, please Mr.! Spare us!" A girl in the back at yelled.

"No can do" Mr. Mars replied with a laugh.

Why is he so happy? He's the one grading the projects. 20 projects I guess since we're 20 kids.

"I'll be assigning your project in pairs"

"Can I work with my friend?" asked a boy.

"No, I already have assigned your pairs already" he replied as he grabbed his clip board.

Oh No, please don't be cliche and put me with Damian.

"First pair is, Adrien and Marinette"

And the teacher went on. I just waited till I heard my name.

That's when I realized that I don't really have to do it. I don't have to do the project.

I'm only here to finish my job, not to stay and live a life.

"Maps, since you're new..." I heard Mr. Mars call out.

"I'll put you with Damian"

"Liz is with-"
