Alexis POV-

After putting Julia to bed, I walked into my room. I closed the door, and stared at myself in my full length mirror. My long angled golden hair, just reaching past my shoulders. My hazel eyes with a golden ring around the center. My skinny, straight, and long figure. Everyone tells me how beautiful I am, and how amazed that I don't have a boyfriend. But I don't want to be that mom, that has just a bunch of random guys around the house, for Julia. Ever since Peter left, I've been waiting, but searching, for the perfect guy. I've struck out so many times. I walked away from the mirror, and looked at my closet. I dug behind all of my clothes, shoes, until I found the box. I opened it, full of pictures and memories. I picked through seeing all of my smiles, the times in my life I was actually happy. I felt a single tear roll down my cheek, I wiped it away, and put the box back as fast as I could. I layed down in bed, and stared up at the ceiling. I let out a deep breath, "Leave the past behind you Lexi" I said to myself soothingly, before I fell asleep.

*Beep beep* my alarm rang. 7:00, time to get ready. I rolled out of bed, and tiptoed past Julia's room, downstairs. I started up the stove and thew a couple eggs in the frying pan. I put my Pandora on a low roar, Brokenhearted by Karmin of course had to come on. I knew the song, cause I'm only 23, not some old bag with a 7-year-old. I ran my fingers through my hair, attempting to get some knots out before I acutally got ready. I flipped the eggs a few times, put them on a plate, and set it on the counter, for when Julia decides to get up.

I strolled up to my bathroom and grimaced at my amazing morning hair. I plugged in my straightener and did a quick fix, perfect, I smiled to myself.  I stabbed my eye with my black eyeliner pencil a few times, putting a thin layer in my waterline. I quickly put on a blue floral top, and some leggings. I walked around the house trying to find where Julia had hidden my boots, when I see a sleepy Julia trudging down the hallway. "Hey sweetie!" I knelt down to her side, "Did you have some good dreams?" I ask her that everyday, it would kill me if she started having night terrors. "Yes" she said queitly. "I have some eggs for you on the counter" I kissed her cheek quickly, then started for the boots again.

"Ok, Julia's fed and dressed, I have my phone..." I said, while helping Julia into the car. Just my normal morning checklist. "Let's go mum, you do this every morning!" she chirped from the backseat. "I just don't want to forget something!" I said, smiling back to her. I pulled up to her school, "Bye mum!" Julia said, eagerly jumping out of the car once I pulled up. "Bye!" I said out the window, but she had already ran ahead. She tugged on the end of a man's blazer, and he bent down and smiled at her, that must be her teacher. I sat there looking for a few seconds, but all I could see was Mr. Styles' out of control dark curls. I shrugged and I was off to work.
