Jacobs POV

My whole day has been filled with "Good lucks" And "Lets win this"

I was sick of it.

After the fight with Claire, I couldn't think straight.

Rylee was just a distraction.

I can't love someone who doesn't love me.

So I act like I love Rylee.

When I know damn well I don't.

It was currently the pep-fest and seeing Claire out there doing stunts and tricks, acting like she doesn't have a care in the world, it broke me.

But of course I acted natural.

I participated in the chants and activities.

Once we were dismissed I rushed out of the gym, I needed to clear my mind.

I got into my car and quickly drove to Nolans.

I have no idea how long I stayed there.

But the silence didn't help.

All I could think about was Claire.

"Are you okay?" I hear a voice ask.

I turn around to see Rylee.

"Yeah I'm okay" I insist.

"What's wrong babe?" She asks, sitting across from me.

I cringe a little at the word babe.

"Nothing" I lied.

"Nervous for the game?" She asks.

"Yeah" I lie again.

"Don't be, you'll do great!" Rylee smiles.

I would do better if Claire wasn't on my mind.

"I guess" I mumble.

She pulls out her phone and looks at the time.

"You better get going, it's 5:30" Rylee states.

I mentally curse and put down money.

I say a quick goodbye to Rylee then leave.

As I get into my car I see Claire drive by.

I quickly get into my car and drive to the school.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  Claires POV
I get out of my car and grab my stuff from the backseat.
"Claire wait up!"
Jacob.
I don't answer and keep walking.
"Claire! Please talk to me" Jacob says, running in front of me.
"What do you want Anderson?" I ask.
"I'm sorry for yestder-"
"There's nothing to apologize for, okay? You're happy, and I'm happy, so lets just forget it happened" I state, starting to walk away again.
"Well....just so you know, all the stuff I said about you being amazing....is true" He says.
Hear that?
It's my heart.
Shattering.
This boy is going to be the death of me.
