-Guren's POV-
I picked up my sword, clutching onto Y/N. Shinya and the others had successfully helped Shinoa's squad and Narumi escape; this resulted in them getting arrested.

I had to get Y/N to safety. There were still vampires littering the place although their main focus had now shifted to a new commotion occurring within them and their queen.

I looked over at Kureto, the seraph of the end project had been disrupted and therefore was forced to come to a halt again, so the demon army seemed to be packing everything away. As there was nothing I could do, I decided to leave during the bustle.

I opened Y/N's door, it had been 2 day, almost the 3rd since she'd passed out and she still hadn't woken up.

The doctor said she had extreme fatigue and was also currently anemic, he'd reported seeing a healing scar on her chest and thought that had something to do with it; assuming it was the result of too much blood loss.

I sat on the seat next to her bed and looked down at her sleeping figure,

"I hope that scar wasn't from when you came back for me." I smiled at her,

Of course she wasn't able to respond but I still continued to talk to her, I moved wisps of her hair from her face, and cupped her cheek, "Don't get hurt because of me, dammit." I whispered gently as I sadly chuckled, there was no amusement; just guilt. I wish she hadn't came to save me, I wish her and the others didn't care for someone as closed off.

They'd all seemed to come to an understanding of my nature, especially Y/N and Shinya who knew the extent of my secretiveness. I know I'm hurting them by being so discreet about my personal involvement in the army and other stuff, but I know letting them know would hurt them just as much, if not more.

So for now I'll just care for them in return, in ways they may not see or even know.

-Y/N's POV-
I slowly opened my eyes, instantly closing them as bright light invaded my sight. The intensity of the brightness of the light caused a headache to slowly form from at the front of my skull, but I ignored it as I tried to sit up and check the time.

I figured I was at the hospital from the white walls and lights, not to mention the ridiculously uncomfortable bed I lay on and the itchy IV in my arm.

I squinted my eyes at the clock opposite me, which read 7:39; I could tell from the sunlight seeping through the curtains that it was morning; this only elicited the question of how long had I been out for. I looked around the room for anything that could possibly tell me and a wide grin spread on my face as I found the answer asleep on the chair besides my bed.

I don't know if it was the amount of sleep I got or the excitement of seeing Guren asleep by my bed which made me feel recovered and not as exhausted as I expected.

I stood up walking to him, realising I was wearing a hospital gown. I dismissed it and lifted Guren's fallen bangs planting a peak on his forehead, "Hey, I'm awake." I whispered, he grunted in response and began to stir as he woke up quite quickly,

"Y/N? You're awake?" His voice was groggy and he lazily put his arms out, which I crawled into,

"Sorry I woke you up, we haven't had a normal day together since the war started and I've missed you." I wrapped my arms around his waist,

"Ah, forget about that. I've missed you too." He said before planting small pecks all over my face, I squeezed my eyes shut and laughed, before stopping him by placing my hands by his cheeks,

"It's been too long." I muttered, staring into his eyes,

"I know, love." He pulled me closer into him, despite me already being his lap. I leaned forward closing any remaining space between us, sealing his lips with a proper kiss. He eagerly responded, in the sweet and passionate exchange.

He broke of the kiss, "I saw you smile all throughout the war, I'm glad I'm able to see that beautiful smile again."

"Aish, don't say corny stuff." I teased, pecking his lips,

"I'm serious." He shrugged,

"How long have I been out?" I finally asked,

"Just 3 days." He said casually,

"Ugh that's so long." I groaned,

"Yes, too long." He teased in a scolding manner,

I was suddenly reminded of the annoying needle stuck in my arm, "Baby, I need your help." I pouted,

He seemed to like it, I didn't often call him by pet names so I had to stop myself from giggling at his lips curling up into a smile,

"What is it?"

I held out my arm, "Please can you remove this?"

He chuckled at my childlike behaviour, "Alright but it'll hurt." He said working on undoing the tape,

"Then kiss it better,"

"I'm not kissing a bloody hole in your wrist." He slowly pulled out the needle, observing my reaction carefully, in case he was hurting me,

"Oh come on it's hardly there." I tilted my head to the side to look at where the IV had been, as it was a tiny 'injury' the demon's curse had no problem healing it seconds after the needle was removed,

Guren knew this and kissed where it had been, I grinned widely, "Cute~!" I drawled,

"Yeah? Let's get out of here." He stood me up, and I nodded as I began to gather my stuff.
