-Y/N's POV-
"Something's wrong with him, he's killing everything in his path." I caught sight of him as Mito explained what was happening,

"Oh God-" I muttered devastated,

"'I wonder how much worse this could get," Shinya mumbled frustratedly, and as if on cue, there was a loud scream from Shinoa's squad's direction.

We all snapped our heads towards the direction to find Yuu had sprouted branch-like wings on his back and his eyes were pitch black- he'd gone berserk again.

"You asked and Yuu delivered." I frowned at Shinya, to which he responded by rolling his eyes,

Yuu began moving towards the demon in the sky, and soon enough they began fighting each other, the demon with it's black and red blobs and Yuichiro with some white sediment which I was unsure of.

"Everyone kill Yuichiro Hyakuya, do not let him reach the angel." Kureto yelled,

"Angel?" I muttered, "THAT is an angel?" I was too baffled to even laugh at the contradicting name,

I saw all the soldiers, including Guren move to stop Yuu, although he unleashed the white stuff at one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse 2.0, causing it to freeze and turn into the same white substance,

I heard Shinya sigh, "It's salt,"

"Salt?!" I shook my head, "How do you know?"

"How do I know?" Shinya echoed back to me, obviously avoiding the question,

"This is getting more and more ridiculous it's hurting my head." I rubbed at my throbbing temple,

The soldiers became increasingly afraid of the possessed Yuu and hesitated towards him, this just provided Yuu with the opportunity to attack the monster in the sky with no interruptions.

To our surprise Yuichiro came out on top, he was far stronger than the other monster and defeated it with ease, leaving the girl in the sky; she began to fall.

"That takes away one problem from the equation." Goshi sighed,

"Still got 4 more problems to take care of," Shinya stated bluntly bursting his bubble, now that that monster was gone the atmosphere returned to normal.

I ran off towards Shinoa who was quite a distance away, "Hey Shinoa, what the hell just happened?"

"Yuu confronted Guren, and got stabbed by him, he said he was crying and told him to run away before he did it and the girl-monster thing is actually Kimizuki's sister, he also got stabbed by Guren after trying to go after her; Yuu then went berserk saying it would end it all, when he did he started saying he was the King of salt and chanting the whole 'humans are sinners' thing." Shinoa reported,

"Uh, guys this isn't good." Mitsuba pointed towards Yuu who was now face down on the ground, unconscious and with horns sprouting out his head,

The kids ran towards him to retrieve him and continue with their escape. I narrowed my eyes as I saw Guren approach him, remembering Kureto's order, although was put to ease when I saw Shinya approach him.

I fought off any vampires that attempted to cross my path with ease but still kept an eye on Shinya and Guren; from what I saw, it was a confrontation, this was especially clear when Shinya started yelling at Guren and punched him across the face.

Guren had his back to me but I saw his shoulders shake in what I could only assume was laughter as Shinya only seemed to get more and more irritated. Something wasn't right with Guren and I was afraid that it was what I thought it was.

I quickly set foot in their direction with intentions of de-escalating the situation; when Guren took hold of Shinya by his neck, I began to run.

I sighed in relief as Shinoa's squad ran past me with Yuichiro's unconscious body; extracting another problem before I reached the two with the main focus of my concern.

"Seraph of the end." I heard Guren say to Shinya as if he were revealing something- the hold he had on Shinya didn't seem exactly comfortable either as Shinya winced while looking down at him in absolute bewilderment.

I kicked Guren round the head, hard enough so he at least fell to the ground, as much as it pained me to hurt him, it would've hurt me more if Shinya ended up with a broken windpipe.

"Shinya, go help Shinoa's squad, they really need it." I instructed as Guren lifted a hand to his temple and began to laugh,

"No, I'll deal with Guren at the moment; it'll be safer if you escorted the kids." He refused,

"Shinya, please trust me. Please." I pleaded,

Shinya gave in relatively quickly, sighing and going over to them after mumbling a defeated 'ok',

"Ah, babe." I heard Guren from the floor, I looked down glaring as he sat up,

"Do not, 'babe' me, what do you mean 'seraph of the end'?"

"You don't know? Have you forgotten about that book in my office you read, Y/N?" He stood up towering me, his eyes were red and he had marks on his face; he was possessed.

"In that case why are you toying with something so dangerous, a curse? Guren stop please." I grabbed onto his collar,

He just chuckled,

"Mahiru, stop this. Is this the type of person you were?" I couldn't hold the tears welling up in my eyes anymore, "Is this ambition the reason you died, you really let yourself die from your greed and lust for power?"

"Y/N, you'll make a great sacrifice for this, ju-" he lifted his sword,

"GUREN, WAKE UP!" I screamed shaking him, "Is this what you want?" I sobbed into his chest,

"Y/N." I heard him mutter, it was from his mouth yet it sounded like a completely different person, "Run."

I looked up in shock, he had the same smirk but his eyes were full of sadness, I watched a tear descended down his cheek, "Guren?" My hands flew to cup his face,

"Please, I don't thi-" he looked down, I felt the arm that held the sword shaking,

"Guren, look at me." I turned his face so he was looking at me, "Do not let her win, she has already made you do a lot that'll devastate you when you remember-"

I saw him clench his teeth, "Shu-"

"I'm not going anywhere, so if I die by your hands-" I smiled at him,

"Don't..." the markings across his face slowly began to fade but his arm still shook as he struggled to keep his sword down, "Shut up," he seethed,

I ignored Mahiru, "I'm staying right here, Guren." I whispered as he raised the sword,

I squeezed my eyes shut awaiting the blow and death that followed.

I heard the clanging of metal on concrete; slowly, I opened my eyes and looked up. The markings were gone and the purple orbs I was familiar with had returned.

I felt dizzy again, whether it was by relief, shock or something else I didn't care,

"Y/N, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry" Guren, the real Guren, whispered, voice shaking, as he hung his head, embracing me,

My vision began to blur and then fade, I still remained smiling, "Guren..." I sighed in relief, his voice grew quieter and the last thing I heard was his voice calling my name before everything went black.
