We walked through the store.

In the direction of the pregnancy tests.

It felt weird, so real, this is really happening.

We arrived and I was surprised because of all the different kinds.

''Which one do we need?''

''What about this one?''

You grabbed a test.

''It immediately tells you how long you're pregnant, plus it's expensive so it has to be good!''

You laughed.

''Yeah, and this one is also expensive!''

I grabbed one.

''We take this one too.''

With 3 tests in my hand, we walked to the cash desk.

I was so fucking afraid someone will recognize us and take pictures from me with these tests in my hand.

It will be so painful if I'm not pregnant and these photos will go all over the internet.

It was our turn to pay and I smiled at the cashier while laying the tests down so that she could scan them.

I tried to read her expression.

Did she recognize me?

Is she going to talk to the press?

Will the headlines of tomorrow's news be:

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom bought pregnancy test! Is Katy Perry pregnant?!

Confirmed by a cashier.

But I don't think she did realize who we were.

I thanked her and we left the shop.

The bright sun blinded me, but put me in a good mood as well.

Finding out the truth wasn't so scary.

It was fcking awesome.

I peed on 3 different sticks and then we waited.

My hands were shaking.

My whole body was sweating.

I watched the timer on my phone counting down.

Throwback

Katy, January 2017

I carefully opened the door to Flynn's bedroom.

You weren't home yet,

So I was the one who had to take care of Flynn.

Goddamn I was stressed.

I am terrible with kids...if I'm left alone with them.

As long as someone's with me, I'm fine.

I can be a perfect mother...as long as the dad is always around.

I smiled at the little 5 year old, still sleeping peacefully.

I walked a little closer to his bed and stroke with my hand through his hair.

''Hey sweetheart, you gotta wake up. You have to go to school.''

He moved a little and then turned his back to me.

I giggled while shaking my head.

I stood up and opened the curtains to let the Malibu sunshine into the room.

Hoping the sun rays will tickle Flynn awake.

It worked.

He slowly started to come alive.

I put him underneath the shower so that he would be wide awake.

(no cold water, don't worry, I'm not that kind of a person)

''Where's dad?'' Flynn asked when I was helping him dry off.

His wet hair curled cutely.

''He's working, so I'm gonna bring you to school today, okay?

And when you get home, dad will be back already.''

''Okay.''

I helped Flynn get in his clothes.

''Katy?''

''Yes?''

''When am I going to have a little brother or sister?''

I laughed.
