A week later

''Good morning darling.''

You accepted my morning kiss with a smile.

''HELLO DOGGIES!''

I greeted the two happy little poodles with lots of cuddles.

''Bye lovebirds, I'm going to Daniel!''

''Bye slut, tell Stefanie we should meet up again soon!''

You yelled, making Shannon laugh.

''Okayy, bye!''

And the door slammed close.

''We're alone!'' you cheered and stood up.

The expression on your face changed, when you walked over to me.

You didn't stop until we were only a few inches away from each other.

I could smell your breath, which was the scent of coffee.

I hated that, but I forgave you because I got lost in your beautiful blue eyes.

''We're not really alone, we got two dogs around us.''

You smiled: ''Our little babies!''

''Nugget is the only one I love more than I love you'' you said, before kissing my neck.

''That hurts. How can I take her place on the number one spot?''

You didn't give me a chance to answer, because your lips were on mine.

I kissed you back, my tongue gently asking for permission to enter.

I discovered your mouth.

My hands rubbing up and down your back, carefully going underneath your shirt.

I stopped kissing you for a second to take some breath.

We looked in each other eyes and then I kissed your neck, around your weak spot: in your neck just down your ear.

When I got there a moan escaped out your throat.

All of the sudden the doorbell rang: long and urgent.

''Who the hell is that?'' you said annoyed, walking to the front door.

''Hey Miranda, of course, Flynn can hang out here, go to the hospital! It's really no big deal.''

Hospital? What's wrong?! I can't walk over there.

I still have a boner, that's just too awkward.

''Can I ask you where it is for?''

''I understand, well Flynn, you're stuck with us today, come in, BYE MIRANDA! GOODLUCK!''

The frontdoor slammed close and I rushed to you.

''What's wrong?!''

''She didn't wanna tell until she was 100% sure and she's going to see the doctor right now, so you will know more soon. Don't worry too much,'' you said, giving me a kiss on my cheek.

Then you turned to Flynn.

''What should we do today?''

My little boy has focused his attention on the dogs already.

He laughed loudly when Mighty jumped on him, licking Flynn's full face.

You had a smile around your face while watching it.

I just want him to like me.

I don't want him to see me as his mother.

Because I am not his mother.

I don't want to be that 'bad stepmother'

I want to be someone he can laugh with.

Someone, he feels safe around.

Someone he can trust with his secrets,

the ones he doesn't wanna talk about with his parents.

I kind of want to be an aunt to him.

Not an aunt.

Maybe a little more.

I just want to have a good band with him.

and it all depends on this first meeting.

Holy shit.

I looked at the time.

They can arrive at any moment.

I kept watching the time on my phone every second until I heard the doorbell rang.

Here we go.

I felt my hands shaking when I opened the door.

Just be yourself, maybe add some of the Katy Perry in you.

I got this.

I looked at you and I automatically started to smile.

Gosh I wanted to kiss you, but I can't.

That would be too awkward for Flynn.

''Hey guys!''

I bent down a little to Flynn's level.

''Hey boy, I'm Katy!''

And I raised my hand to give him a high five.

He accepted the offer, with a smile.

Which made me smile.

That's a good start.

I looked at you.

You smiled too and gave me a little wink.

''I like your shirt!'' I said to Flynn, pointing at spiderman

He giggled, ''it's spiderman!''

''Do you like Spiderman?''

''Absolutely!''

''I actually have never seen that movie!'' I admitted to the little boy.

''How can't you?!''

He actually sounded insulted.

''I'm sorry, can you show it to me soon!''

''YES!''

We walked to the car and I decided to sit in the back next to Flynn, so that I could keep the conversation going.
