Chapter 14

" last time I'm letting you go without any consequences Cameron" Mr. Brown says and I look over at Cara who's biting her nails, clearly nervous

" as for you" he says referring to Cara and her eyes shoot up at him

" you've never been sent here, you're good Cara" he says and she lets out a breath of relief

" thank you Mr. Brown" she says and he smiles at her

" you're good to go, Cameron stay for another minute" he says and she nods and walks out

He sighs then leans on his desk

" Cameron she's a good kid. I don't want her to start acting up after being around you." He says and I cross my arms

" we're not even that close" I lie and he stares at me

" I'm just saying, don't ruin her" he says and I nod

" go back to class" he says and I nod then walk out

He has no right to be in my business. I'm not even going to ruin Cara

I walk in the hallway then I see Marie standing at her locker, I smirk to myself then walk up to her

" hey sexy" I say as I lean against the locker next to hers and she looks at me and scoffs

" don't you have a little girly to run off to?" She asks and I laugh
" I don't have a girl, but I mean I wouldn't mind if you were mine" I say and she blushes

" coming to my game tonight?" I ask and she nods
" just for you" she replies and I wink
" that's what I like to hear" I say and she smiles wide and I walk down the hallway.

Before I get into class I hear my name and I turn around to see Meg running up to me

" I missed you" she says as she hugs me and I laugh and hug her back

" I'm coming to your game tonight" she says as she bites her lip and I smirk at her

" maybe I can come over later?" She asks and I lick my lips

" yeah, maybe" I say and she smiles

" catch you later" she says and I turn and walk away
I walk back into class and everyone looks up at me and I smile and walk over to my desk and sit down next to Olly.

" ISS?" He asks and I shake my head
" nope, this is my last warning" I say with air quotes
"Oh okay" he says and I look over at Cara who's focused on her work and writing something down, I smile as I watch her. She's too good for a guy like me.

She looks up and sees me watching her and she smiles and her adorable dimples pop up, I reach for my phone then I text her

I wanna see you after my game tonight

She sees the notification pop up on her phone and reads it and smiles. She grabs her phone and starts typing.

Maybe I'll come to your game, the project with Jade is basically done

I freak out a little because if she comes she'll see the other girls that are there for me and I don't want her to know.

No, it's fine. Just go work on your project and I promise we'll hang out after.

You're no fun Dallas.

I can show you how fun I am after my game baby

She rolls her eyes and sets her phone down then looks up at me.

I laugh quietly and she turns back to the board.
