"Congratulations." I fake a smile.
Elaine says her thanks while her fiance keeps quiet. I would love for him to explain himself, but he stays at Elaine's side.
I told them, "Well, I'm needed in the Studio and I got to get out of these disgusting clothes." Nikolai finally moves to my side, but I held my hand to stop. "You're services aren't needed. Take the day off and spend the day with your fiance." I said the last word quietly.
My father agrees with me and orders Nikolai to take the day off. Nikolai wanted to protest but Elaine cheerfully says thank you.
I walked up the stairs and entered the room. I picked the clothes out and went inside the shower. I strip my clothes off and entered the shower.
My bathroom is my sanctuary as I finally cry. My tears mixing with the water. I hugged myself, trying to control my shaking from crying hard. In the shower, I could remember that night in the shower, the sweet words he whispered, the electric touches, and his mesmerizing eyes. I couldn't stop my crying and my heart being shattered, flowing into the drainage.
I seem to calm down my crying after seeing my fingers turning into prunes a few minutes later. I hopped off the shower and changed into the clothes I picked out earlier.
I sat down in front of my mirror and I see my eyes being red and a sad expression displayed on my face. I fixed my hair with a comb and gel, styling it to a perfect comb over. I spray my signature perfume and put on my shoes.
I grabbed my sunglasses and head downstairs to the the front door. I knocked on my father's door that I'm ready. He follows me out of the office and into my personal driver's limo.
My father sat across me, staring at me while my sunglasses were blocking my red eyes.
"Why are you sad?"
I turn to my father and see his worried expression.
I told him it's nothing but he doesn't drop the topic. "It's about Nikolai's engagement, isn't it?"
I look at him flabbergasted at his spot-on question. I thought of a lie but he continues, "I know your crush on him ever since the first day. You always have a way to disobey me but I could see love in first sight in your eyes that day."
I look away to face the passing tourists crowding the street. We enter the studio set and parked at the entrance. I got off the limo but my dad declares, "I'll support you, always."
I smiled and entered the dark studio. My vision became clearer and adjust the light inside the studio to see all my co-stars and backstage helpers preparing the next scene. Mr. Jollings approaches me and ushers me into the makeup and costume change.
