"Whatever you say, Miss."
As I stared out the window, I was terribly glad Louis was the one that kept me company. After the crash over a year ago, it's still been hard for me to drive— or people to drive me in that matter. Whenever I see a similar car like that on the road, I feel like my heart still tenses up and my stomach rumbles with anxiety of the crash. I've gotten over it, but it's still something I deal with.
"And, we're here." Louis pulled up to the large building.
"I'll see you in a couple hours, Lou." my words soft as his smile was his response.
My vision was greeted with the modern business complex having a plethora of floors as it seemed like it could reach all the way to heaven. The outside have a gray exterior with tinted windows and many rooms. Walking in, I was greeted by a security officer and walked by the front desk while showing my 'ambassador' badge that Natasha had given me when my books spirals into a worldwide success.
In my left hand, I had my new journal filled with outrageous ideas for the sequel, and tiny notes. I wrote in there mostly when my thoughts would spill from my mind onto the paper. It had a nice black leather cover, and a band to keep it sealed. On my right hand, I looked at my watch my parents had gifted me for my birthday along with the ring Daniel had given; I still wore it.
I kept on smiling at the ring that brought such broad memories that I didn't even realize I had trampled on a stranger spilling their coffee on their blazer. My expression was horrified seeing the coffee drenched along his chest and on the floor. I stood there in complete humiliation dumbfounded with a loss of words. The stranger had picked up the cup putting it in the nearby trash can not even shooting me a look— just muttering small and profound words to himself.
"I'm terribly sorry," I finally put the situation to words, "here, let me help you."
I looked around trying to find some napkins, but I quickly set my journal and my belongings on a nearby table before heading back to the stranger. His soaked blazer was in one hand as he was fiddling with his button-up shirt from the vivid stains; thankfully, his shirt was black as well, so stains weren't that visible.
"I'm so sorry," I spoke again trying to get some words from him.
"It's not your fault— I should've seen you coming." his words polite.
I couldn't see his eyes as they were still fracturing with the shirt. My lip was suddenly between my teeth in a light quiver as I just wanted to help this stranger. Finally, he looked up eyes meeting mine. It felt like he was going to say something, but not a single whisper left his lips.
The stranger had a dark chocolate shade for hair that was messily parted in the middle with a slight curl. His hair wasn't very long, but it was shaggy enough to cover the top of his ears. I've never been a big fan of brown eyes, but looking at his, they felt glorious. With the sunlight peaking through the windows, his eyes look like they held pearls of golden rays and a touch of copper. It looked like they could have a sunset of their own just staring at them. His skin was a deep olive color as a couple freckles kissed his cheeks. He didn't look very old as he seemed more along my age.
"I'm fine," his voice raspy, but with a soft undertone, "but thank you. It's very kind of you to offer."
"I'm Sienna, Sienna Martin," I told graciously holding out my hand for him to shake.
