I smiled at the woman and turned to look at the other person, trying to hide my shock as best as I could. I understood now why Paul said he was dangerous.

The other girl had tanned skin and long black hair, much like everyone else here on the Rez. A bright smile featured on her face as she looked at me.

"Jared, Emily, Kim, this is Sophia." Paul said, still holding on to my hand and he squeezed it gently, "Sophia, that's Jared, Emily and Kim." He told me, pointing to the three he was introducing me to, "You already know Sam."

I smiled at the group of four politely and waved. I didn't know what to do. I felt like I was meeting his family and it was quite nerve wrecking. All I wanted to do was make a good impression on these people because I wanted to be with Paul. If his friends didn't like me we wouldn't be off to a good start.

Paul tugged me along gently when he went to sit down at the table and pulled out a chair for me to sit on inbetween him and Sam and Emily.

Jared leaned over the table, "So your Paul's imprint." He commented, obviously amused, "I didn't think it was true."

I heard Sam groan as Paul dropped his head back in despair. Paul had mentioned an imprint last night but we hadn't got as far as to talking about it yet. I was still clueless on what it was and what it meant.

"Oh you idiot." Sam said.

"We didn't get that far last night Jared, thanks for that." Paul told him.

"Oh, I'm sorry." Jared said sheepishly.

"It's fine." I told him with a smile, "I know of it, we just haven't talked about it yet."

"Well I think you're wonderful." Emily commented while smiling at me, "How about you give me a hand in the kitchen? We can talk all about what it's like to date a wolf."

Paul groaned and I chuckled at his reaction. His friends had a way with words, that was for sure. I looked to Emily with a smile, "We're not dating."

Sam snorted, "Yeah, not yet your not."

"Can you stop?" Paul asked him in despair, "Jeez."

I turned to Emily, "Yeah I'll help you out."

Just as I rose to my feet Paul tugged on my hand he was still holding, "I did tell them, they just don't listen."

I smiled down at him and ruffled his hair playfully before following Emily to the kitchen, "It's fine, I don't mind."

There were a million reasons why I didn't want to be where I was stood.

One was because I would have to face Edward. Two was because I didn't want to face the possibility. Three because I was still very, very shocked.

I stood outside of the Cullen residence, a modern-looking, three story family home. In one hand was a letter while my other was fisted, hovering in the air in front of the door.

If Paul knew I was here he would probably kill me.

No one knew I was coming, I had simply asked Bella for the address and left before she had the chance to ask me questions. I needed to talk with Dr. Cullen urgently, it wasn't something that could wait.
