In the next day, Katsuki did whatever he could to get the remaining gemstones. He helped Yuuga to be the ‘star’ of the highest tree in the city –yes, he literally helped the glitter male get up there with blasting him. He helped Shoto with buying Christmas present for his family
–includes his father- and Momo. When he helped Kouji to be more brave with screaming his lungs out in the woods, he almost let a tear slips. He doesn’t know what’s gotten into him, but he feels so confused and lost. After he got 3 gemstones, he immediately go home and fall asleep.

Whatever this feeling is, he doesn’t want it to stay in his heart. So Katsuki did his usual winter routine again, he’ll make himself sleep and never come out from his room. While the phantom Izuku can’t do anything more than watch him, clearly knew that the blonde as male is feeling
rejected.

Katsuki didn’t know what day is it, but he knows he already spent days in his room without doing anything useful. He ignored his friends, he ignored his parents, and he ignored Izuku. He pushes everyone away like what he did from the start. Having other people get into your life is a
big mistake. Bakugou Katsuki is a competitive person, he’s heartless, and he needs to reach his goal; to be the best hero. He doesn’t need weak people who’ll slow him down. If he really needs help, then whoever helps him will be his skipping stone to reach what he wants. He’s truly a
monster.. He’s empty.

Tears flow down to his cheeks. His sobs filled the air. The solitude walls of his bedroom became the witness of his sadness. Can’t someone accept him? He knew he’s vulgar and short
tempered, but he’s being nice for the past few days. He has helped his friends, he let himself being vulnerable. But then who saves him?
He let himself break that time; screaming in pain at the top of his lungs, pulling his hair, hurting himself with his fist, anything that he can do to distract him from the pain in his heart.

His pillow is stained with tears. His eyes are puffy and red. He hates what comes after a break down, he feels hopeless and weak. He doesn’t know what he should do; he doesn’t know where he should go. He needed help, but there’s no one who can help him.

He laughed at himself for being weak like this and stands up, thinking that maybe some caffeine can clear his head up. The moment he opens his door, he immediately greeted with those who has been saved by him.

“Merry Christmas, Katsuki!”

His classmates, teachers, parents; everyone is there. He was dumb-struck with what just happened.

“Bakubro, are you crying?” Eijirou asked.

“N-No, I’m not shitty hair!” He exclaimed.

“Aw come on, don’t be like that. Tell us what happened! We want to help you too like how you helped us!” Denki said.

They want to help him? Save him from his miserable state? Is he allowed to accept that?

“Kacchan!”

He turned to Izuku who’s in flesh and bone.

“I-I’m sorry about yesterday. I should have being grateful f-for your kindness, not t-throwing it away. I’m sorry for rejecting you, c-can we start over?”

Izuku offers him a hand. It felt like déjà vu to the blonde ash male. Some weeks ago, a phantom who said that he’s the future self of his childhood friend came to him and offers him a chance. Now the present Izuku, is also giving him a chance. Should he take it?

“Kacchan, accept it. You deserve every single bit of this.”

The phantom pushed Katsuki forward, and he’s engulfed in warm and light that he always yearn for. He’s finally saved.
