"Have you ever wondered what it would be like to leave the comfort of your own home, and find a road that may lead to nowhere, or to a place where you can find happiness? I haven't. I never bothered to go looking for something like that, for I am happy at where I am. In a small city where it's never too busy, except during the holidays. But where I am I can't seem to see myself leaving a place where I feel the most at peace. I've never had one single thought about leaving where I am. About what it would feel like. But that all changed in just one week. By one person. By one small Road Trip To Nowhere."

"Addison you said you were going to help table 9 today," I said with a heavy sigh at the end. I was wiping down the tables one last time, making sure all the food residue was cleared off. People get worked up over sticky tables.

"Sorry Will. I was having trouble with the paper machine again." Addison spoke with a tired tone in her voice. Her brown hair was pulled into a bun, while the small baby hairs in the front were flatted by a medallion yellow headband, which matched our uniform bow ties.

"The paper machine where I had specifically told you to use the left button and not the middle one."

"Yeah. I'm sorry."

"It's okay no need to say sorry. We all make mistakes." I said while adjusting my midnight blue framed glasses. "Hey, have you seen Kelly? I was going to talk to him about working on Fridays and the weekends."

Addison placed a chair upside down on top of the table. "The weekends? William, you already work almost 50 hours a week and that's not including the holidays."

"Well I just need the extra money, plus I have nothing outside of work that's important anyway." I did the same thing with the chairs as Addison. The noise of chair legs squeaking against the wooden floors wasn't a very pleasant noise.

"But that's the point. You need to get a hobby or something, cause it also hurts me to see you never relax. I've never seen you relaxed once now that I mentioned it."

"Oh please don't be so naive. I relax when I'm at home alone reading a book. Everyone has a different way of relaxation, including you." We both continue putting up chairs until the floor was cleared of them.

"You know, you could be right. But I think you should try something else for a change and not worry about work. It honestly seems like all you care about is work. Its always work this, work that," She said in her best impersonation of my voice. "Never, oh I have a girlfriend, would you like to meet her."

"Hey not funny. You know how hard I'm trying to find a date." My face turned slightly pink from the mention of not being in a relationship.

"Oh yeah. When was the last time you were on Coffee House huh?" She placed her hands on her hips.

"Ever since Amelia's 16th birthday party," I mumbled out, knowing my answer isn't valid.

"That birthday party was a year and a half ago Will. You're not trying that hard to find someone."

"Well nobody on that dating site is worth my time. They either talk about meeting in some club or telling me how hot I look. Nobody even bothers to ask what my favorite color is anymore."

"What is your favorite color?"

"Green, but that's not the point. I just can't find anyone on the face of this Earth who has at least the smallest bit of knowledge left." I look over at Addison for a response, but to see she's giving me a pouty face. "Except you." I rolled my eyes while saying it.
