Dark purple crystals covered the ground as the explosion passed by. The temperature was getting lower and lower; probably hitting minus degrees right now. It was quite a luck that these two guys weren't human, because aside from how cold the temperature was, they felt sharp things hit their skin though it was unseen-able. Their skin was different than the humans, so at least it won't affect them so badly. The two minds focused on the one who created these crystals from the start. The only one who seemed like a true-born monster around.

"Think this is a worse trouble?" The brown haired boy turned to his company as he finished looking down at the spreading crystals... and the monstrous beast. "Or do you think this situation is getting... bet...ter?" he rose his eyebrows. The second part did sound like one of the world miracle that could never happen.

"I've never seen this..." Calvados spanned himself around once to see how those crystals had spread and covered the whole area. These didn't seem familiar at all. "Just don't touch any of these. Where's Vermouth?"

No female living being at all. Vermouth is nowhere to be found.

"What now? Do you guys have cousin telepathy?"

"If we do, genius, she might've been behind me right now and swing his hand for my head,"

"Yes... she can and she will do that," Calvados completed his words. Just because they were bonded by blood, doesn't mean one wouldn't be so cruel to come for other's head. If humans can, then of course devils could do worse.

A decision was made that they shall go and seek for her in the other part of the kingdom. It was time to leave, but both Vinho and Calvados was bothered by something; The Silence. Silence could be so bothering, especially at times like this.

"The beast..." Vinho mumbled as he tried to look at the creature which was filled by hunger and thirst of blood. That's odd, it's not even moving. Its eyes were wide open, looking around while its hands and feet froze in their places; right above those dark purple crystals.

Does it have something to do with his instincts? He titled his head. There's no time to think. They better go... now!

Vinho didn't realize what's going on. All he remembered was that a fire ball landed right above the crystals near that poor beast. Was it a fog? Was it a smoke? He had no idea which hypothesis he'll took. But this line danced in his mind. Then, yes, everything goes black.

"Hide, Vinho. Hide!"

"Je voudrais oublier le temps. Pour un soupir pour un instant."

I heard that voice, somewhere in my head. Echoing all along, as if there's nothing there but him and that voice. I see nothing. I feel nothing. But I could hear that clearly, and suddenly I felt as if I'm about to break. The pain. The sorrow. I couldn't help but feel those surrounding me, leading me nowhere to go. Who's voice is that? It kept repeating itself unstoppable. I felt like I know, but my mind's completely hollow.

As if I heard a butterfly was caged somewhere, begging to be freed. But another second I felt, as there's a monstrous dragon, begging to be chained away.

What? What is it I'm feeling?

I couldn't rely on my eyes nor nose. I could only use my senses to detect such sorrow aura.

"I want to forget the time. For a sigh, for an instant."

Paralyzed.

Yeah, that's exactly what I feel right now. I don't feel my body doing respiration very well. However, it's somehow odd. I remembered well that there was smoke spreading all around, along with the warnings to run, it's just, how could such smoke effected not only my body, but also my inner emotions?
