"everything's fine now "  I told dior as i sat on my bed playing with my nails

"im glad to hear that.. now come get your shit out my room " she said

I laughed "I'll come tomorrow "

"good cuz Im tired of seeing that suitcase " she said as she giggled a little

"girl please... its been like an hour since I left "

"so what " she said with a dry tone

"you miss Me already  don't you? I said with a smile

"I mean.... "

"I knew it " I said with my bold voice

"oh shut up " I heard her laugh "im gonna talk to you later,im sleepy "

"okay boo,talk to you later " I ended the call.

"Y/N!!" my mom yelled from downstairs

"yes?" I yelled back.

"come here " she said with a lower tone

I walked downstairs to see her in the kitchen looking in the fridge

"are you hungry? " she said as she continued looking in the fridge

"umm, a little " I said watching her rumble through the fridge

"well im gonna cook Anyways... you want a cheese Burger with with fries or fried chicken with fries?"

"fried chicken and fries, only because I eat too much burgers "I said as I laughed

She laughed and said "your birthday is coming up,what do you want? "

"my birthday?  " I said in shock

"yes... it's in a couple of days,remember?  "

"wow.. came so quick "

im usually excited about my birthday but not this year i don't Know why ...same old thing just turning a different age

"yeah you're Gonna be 16! aren't you excited? " my mom said as she seasoned the chicken

"ehh... not really " I said as i sat in a chair near the kitchen

"well any new boys? "

"boys?"

"yeah like someone you like or someone who likes you?" she poured vegetable oil in a pot and turned on the stove

Is she really asking me about boys? she usually flips out and tell me how she needs me to focus on school..now she Wanna have this Talk. Well i guess this is the right time  for me  tell her about aug

"actually.. there is "I said hesitantly because I don't want anyone to get In between me and aug

"dont be shy.. whats his name? " she said as she continued doing Whatever she was doing to fry the chicken

"August... "

"is his last name September ?" she joked around

I stale faced her and said "really mom? his last name is alsina "

"oh " she laughed "that's a nice name. but what is he to you.. bestfriend,someone you like,boyfriend? "

"boyfriend"I said as I smirked

"boyfriend?!  why  didnt you  tell me?" she stopped and looked at me

"I dont know " 

"good luck.. men are alot to handle " she said as she leaned onto the counter and looked at me

I loved seeing my mom this way. happy, being silly, and talking about things ive never thought id Talk to her about. shes more open like before and i realized chad is who was holding her back from being the person she really is .  I snapped back in reality when i heard vashon talk

"watchu cooking ma?"

"food" my mom said to him sarcastically

"what kind of food? " vashon said as he got annoyed that fast

"the kind you eat " my mom said then laughed

"Whatever " he sighed

"vashon how come you didn't tell me y/n had a boyfriend? " my mom said as she kept an eye on the chicken frying in the pot

"boyfriend? you got a boyfriend? " vashon said as he stared at me with seriousness

"yeah.. August is  my boyfriend " I said

being open about aug being my significant other is weird.. I dont know why it just is

"oh... wow ".he said

I sat there nodding my head.  telling my mom and brother about aug makes me second guess because I don't want them in my business

Yea I know dis chapter boring as shit but I was taking to long to update and I just needed to put up something
