A/N: what if wooyoung was actually really a good guy?

"the loser has to give up on you."

"what?" she exclaims in disbelief as the last bell for the day rang, muting her surprise to the other students.

the rest of the students automatically stood up from their seats and started packing their bags. jaemin did the same.

hana takes a single glance in wooyoung's direction and her gaze meets his as he flashes a smirk.

she furrows her brows as she hears jaemin push in his chair beside her.

he was probably leaving the classroom.

now, wooyoung and her were the only ones in the room.

"why would you raise that kind of bet with him, wooyoung?" the boy had slung his bag over his shoulder, but froze as the girl looked up at him.

he chuckles.

"don't laugh. what kind of stupid bet is that? you told me you were indeed lying about how you feel about me when i asked you about it! so why are you making that sort of bet with him?"

her eyes glazed with anger and confusion.

the two of them held their gazes until wooyoung casts his eyes to the floor with a wry smile.

"don't worry, this is only a test, hana." and with that, he strides up to the exit and leaves the room.

hana frowns in dismay as she takes a moment thinking about what he could have meant, to no avail.

what on earth is he...?

the truth is, a few days after he had supposedly 'confessed', hana confronted wooyoung again about it.

she had noticed a habit of wooyoung every time he lies. and that was, his right eye would twitch.

and it did that day he confessed.

she was utterly confused at his motives, but wooyoung only gave her a smile and said,

"if i don't confess to you, it wouldn't seem real enough to na jaemin."

he even further added,

"you can really hate me if you want, but i know my lying won't affect you."

when she asked why, he said,

"well, between me and jaemin, do you really need to hesitate to choose?"

she makes a quick decision and picks up her bag from the ground.

she walked as fast as her legs could carry her until she reaches the Basketball court. the court was located on the ground level of the school's indoor sports hall.

skipping down the steps that lead to a separate building, the sports hall, she follows a sheltered walkway.

nearing the court, she spies jaemin there with a basketball, and wooyoung that had just arrived.

she swiftly hides herself behind the wall and takes occasional peeks at the two boys, only being able to hear bits and pieces of their conversation.

at that point of time, she already knew who she had wanted to see winning and wished that the outcome would be as she hoped.
