Chapter 05 - Frenemies

"Time really flies....."

The school vacation had already ended and today was Liz's first day at high school.

"I wonder what Tiana must be doing now, she neither contacted me nor I heard anything about her. 'probably having fun with her new friends that she probably forgot about me.....', I told myself. I who now was overwhelmed by the feelings of betrayal had thoughts as such flooding through my mind. Though I tried my best to console myself by keeping on telling my messed up self that she would never do such a thing, but I failed..., and I eventually gave up on her......

Today was my first day at high school and students around me was chattering about with their friends, and I who had non, sat alone. Though I was well known, no one actually spoke to me. The seat next to mine was empty but before long a girl happened to come and sit beside me. Still i didn't bother to look who it was but she happened to drop her pen, so I helped her by picking it up and that's when I noticed............"

" Huh you!!???", both the girls literally screamed off on top of their lungs as if they had just seen a ghost! "Sapphire what on earth are you doing here??!!, asked Liz totally freaked out. "That's my line!", replied Sapphire, and that's when they got to know that they had completely attracted the attention of the others but as soon as the teacher came in they took their seats. Miss Jenifer who was their English teacher introduced herself to them and began their lesson. Meanwhile...........

"Sapphire!", What are you doing here? I thought you chose lumean high! you had perfect scores right?, whispered Liz. "and you too, right?", answered Sapphire. "Miss Scarlet and Miss Historia would you mind keeping it down there.....", asked miss Jenifer, "sorry", both Liz and Sapphire replied.

"Was my meeting with Sapphire just something that happened to be or maybe.........?, well never mind that, I was really shocked the hell outta me that day but, more than that revenge filled within me. Since that day on wards she sat beside me every single day and every time I saw her I felt as if my heart had ignited and was screaming for revenge. However, she never cared about what had happened between us and never even brought it up and now was helping me out. "Liz, don't ever loose her, you would never get a second chance again", a voice within me spoke and from that point on wards the grudge against her drowned deep inside my heart till it was unreachable and I finally opened up to her.

She had now helped me out countless times and I was in debt to her. She never did anything that hurt me; ever. She never left me alone, but still something was really wrong. Something about her made me worried. She never told me anything about her worries, even when I found out something was going on she never told me and kept it a secret. 'Can a person be this secretive', I asked myself. Though she was my friend I actually knew nothing about her but the fact that I was not alone anymore was thanks to her............Sapphire Historia, now, my 'frenemy'...........later, my 'loving sister for eternity'.
