So I don't know about other schools but at mine it's not uncommon for there to be group chats using a certain app specifically made by students for certain classes. In short, it's a quick way not to fail a class and work together on assignments you otherwise wouldn't be able to.
This chat is made for my English class, specifically an honors class with the hardest, most feared English teacher in my grade. So naturally this chat was created very quickly as an attempt to not crash and burn with the ever stacking/overlapping assignments we get.
Anyways, right now we're reading books outside of class and we're supposed to have the first 100 pages read and annotated, now here's where the chat comes in handy.
AL: how many annotations do you guys have
SM: idk, I stopped writing them halfway through the first 100 pages
AL: I totally forgot to do them so now I need to go back and skim :/
SM: me too
Me: I gave up halfway, I'll probably just throw a bunch on random pages and call it safe
AL: same. I think I'll aim for 10 total
AS: aw frick

AL: I know right
AL: I heard someone mention them earlier and my entire life flashed before my eyes
Me: oof relatable
If that gives you any idea what the class is like, bare in mind that all of that stuff is due tomorrow morning with an additional assignment that I personally haven't finished yet, we're all great at waiting until the last minute, we deserve awards for our stress tolerance seriously
