depression is a sea,
a sea of what seems like
endless water that
pulls you under.
he follows people around
like a ghost, waiting
for the perfect moment
to attack.
depression can read your mind
and hit your deepest insecurities.
he follows you
like a shadow
that you cannot escape from,
even in the brightest light.
he feeds on your self-esteem
and while he gets stronger,
you become weak,
fragile,
helpless.
when he sees
what he has done
he is,
remorseful.
he doesn't mean for this to happen.
all he wants is to feel
less alone.
