Chapter 22. Truth or dare

Hey hey heyyyyy so this chapter is dedicated to Http-Goose whose favourite part was when Y/N let the British man go just because he had a family, they also believe that in the future Y/N and Lafayette will have beautiful kids and be married

Also just to say that 4k award thing is now closed and we're already getting close to 5K and I need suggestions in what to do for it.

Y/n's pov

Alex left camp a day early so that he could be ready for the wedding the next day.

Leaving the rest of us obviously very responsible children with alcohol and in an army tent

It did, at no point get out of hand.

Buttttt let me paint a picture for you

Lafayette has his arm discreetly snaked around my waist were both sat on a bed

John is laid on the floor with bottles scattered around him, most of which were mine

And Mulligan is sat across from us laughing his ass off

"So this one time I snuck aboard a ship, and nobody knew I was there. And one time the captai- hiccup" I'm getting the hiccups

Lafayette laughs in my ear and whispers "You need to slow down on the booze"

"Ha no" I laugh drunkenly

"Anyway, the captain is walking down in the bilge if the ship where I'm hiding and I accidentally stand on a rat, the rat and a bunch of others run in all different directions. So the captain asks whose there, so I just shout ' it's a ghost ooooooo' the captain shits himself and docks at the next harbour and I just walk off. To be fair I think he had something wrong with him" Mulligan and John burst out laughing

Lafayette rolls his eyes and rests his head on my shoulder

(I don't know if Truth or dare even existed before now but it does now)

As the laughter dies down John sits up

"Let's play truth or dare" he smiles deviously

"This is going to end badly, but I'll join anyway" Lafayette says shaking his head and smiling

"So who's going first?" John asks looking around at us all

"Go on then" I say turning to Hercules

"Truth or dare" I ask smiling evilly

"Truth, I don't trust you" Hercules says narrowing his eyes at me

I giggle drunkenly, "Yeah, that's definitely for the better"

"Have you ever gone against your wife's wishes?" I ask

"Oh god no. My wife is a scary woman" Hercules shivers a little

John laughs and blows his hair out of his face.

Hercules turns to Lafayette. "Truth or dare?"

Lafayette smirks, "Dare"

"I dare you to pull the pegs out of Lee's tent" Hercules chuckles easily

Lafayette springs up and walks out of the tent

"Holy shit, Is he actually going to do it?" John laughs once more as Lafayette walks back in with wooden tent pegs in his hands

"Fair play" Hercules says putting his hands up

"Johnny, truth or dare?" Lafayette asks pulling me onto his lap

I don't bother protesting it won't do anything

"Truth. I trust you fuckers as far as I can throw you" John says sipping his drink

"Have you ever thought of getting married?" Lafayette asks

John blushes and looks away. "I already am married. I have a daughter as well." He whispers

"Oh shit....." Hercules says eyes widen but still taking a swig of his drink

"I've never met her, me and her mother's marriage was merely of convenience" John says

I wince a little I can feel the wounds stinging a little already

"I know what it feels like. Luckily I was able to leave before it became official" I say forgetting about the others

"Well that got depressing quickly" we all turn to see Burr walking in

Lafayette quickly took his arm out from around my waist and I shuffled of his lap

"Burr? What are you doing here?" Lafayette asks confused

"Well I can hear Lee screaming about his tent pegs and I guessed who would do that and decide to come see if you guys are up. And low and behold" Burr chuckles

"But seriously you guys are going to get reprimanded in the morning so becareful" Burr says turning around

I laugh "It's Alex's Wedding tomorrow, we'll be fine. Talking about the wedding you coming to it?" I ask

Burr blushes "Errr no.... I'm not available at the time" Burr says

"On come on Burr, Hercules is being the flower girl for godsakes. But if you're not going can you at least go to the after party. It's just me, Hercules, Alex, Lafayette and John. You gotta join us, the beers on me" I say trying to make it seem slightly appealing

"I'll see" Burr mutters as he turns and leaves

"I think we should call it a night" Hercules says standing, his feet still a bit wobbly

He leans over to a candle and blows it out plunging the room into silence

I hear John get up and get into his bed across from me

You can hear Hercules a mile away when he gets in his bed it's so fucking squeaky

Then I feel my bed get a bit lighter. I know Lafayette needs to go to his bed

But I want to stay with him a bit longer

So I grab his wrist and pull him into the bed

He leans and whispers into my ear "Y/N we can't do this here"

"I know, can you just hold me though?" I ask my hand still on his wrist

"Okay" he whispers back in to me ear kissing it a little

"You guys are shit whisperers" John says from across the room

I chuck one of Lee's tent pegs that had rolled near my bed at John

"THUD" it makes a noise as it hits John

"Okay point taken" John says as he rubs the small of his back

I smile to myself as Lafayette wraps his arm around my waist and snuggles his face into my shoulder

This was a blissful moment

A moment I loved

A memory I'll cherish
