When I moved to Los Angeles in 2009 I figured I would take the initiative to really do something I had never done for myself:

Promote Myself. I have promoted everything except myself: from helping to do press for Geese, to being the face of Oui Be Negroes, to getting press kits together for other companies for The San Francisco Improv Festival. Everything I have ever done was under the theory of "Ensemble" and "Collective."

I now live in Los Angeles. I'm still doing improv hard in the Indy Scene. Hans and I started doing Landry & Summers more often. I did a lot of two person shows randomly with other people giving them ridiculous names along the way: "The Irish Mutts." "Plan B: Your SECOND Choice for Improv Comedy." I helped get together an all GLBTQ Improv Company called "OUTE: The Other Underground Theatre Ensemble."

As of this writing we have brought it back old school with a completely all Black, Female Improv Comedy Ensemble called "Essence Improv" in homage to the magazine. That is not a lie. Also, not one woman yet has taken a check and tried to forge it. Not one has shown up at my door, strung out with a poodle.

Yet...  I had to gracefully bow out.  M.S. never gets better.  It just doesn't get better...

When they ask me to play and I'm up to it...I'm there in a L.A. Moment:  Which means leaving the house an hour early in traffic only four miles away to be to the show on time.

Did a movie that is still running as of this writing, called "Heterosexual Jill," as a gay guitar-playing therapist. Yes. There is Lesbian Dancing in this movie directed by Michelle Ehlen, who is also its star. She is the coolest most wonderful woman I know.

Who happens to be a lesbian. She...can also dance.

As I write, Amy Poehler has a contest for her book Yes, Please on Wattpad.

Ah.  Hans and I always wondered what happened after she left with Matt Besser, Ian Roberts, and Matt Walsh.

She's became a book writer.  Good on her!

I wonder if UCB ever took off...

This is the "Official Los Angeles Name Drop That is Not Charles Manson" of this book.

Ah....L.A.... I will stop now.
