"Fistfire!" You yelled, getting the kids attention. "It's Firefist! You wanna be next!?!" He yelled, fist clenched tightly and ready to fire. "Not really! I don't think my clothes are firepoof... also," You paused for a moment before pointing up to where you saw Wade jump from a window and land next to a car with a grunt. "You still got him to deal with." You finished. Russel turned his head to watch Wade curse as he slowly got to his knees.

Yelling, Russel collected another shot of fire and threw it at Wade. Cursing, Wade ran out of the way as the blast flew over the hood of the car and hit the building behind him. As Russel turned his head and looked at a collection of Mutant Control officers closing in on him, Wade took the opportunity to unsheathed his katana and, in one swift movement, throw it as the butt of the handle hit the kid straight in the face. The crowd erupted into cheers and you quickly went over to deal with Russel, lying dazed on the floor. "I could get used to this X-man sh*t!" Wade said, waving to the crowds as he made his way over. "Trainee!" Nega yelled from meters away. "Trainee!" Wade said, still bathing in the praise of the crowd.

"Quickly! Put a power-restrain on him! Now!" The officers yelled to one another. You quickly ran your hand over his forehead, checking for any prominent wounds. "Calm down squirt. It's over. We got ya." Wade said, waltzing over. "And the good news is it's looks like you'll only be having to deal with a slight headache for the net few days." You brushed aside a strand of his hair with your thumb before dropping your arms into your lap. Russel looked at you then to Wade before turning back to you. Looking into his eyes, you noticed something was wrong. In an instant, you knew their was something more to this story than it was appearing to be.

You stood up and positioned yourself next to Wade as he spoke to an officer. "What's that do?" He asked, pointing at the collar around Russel's neck. "Power dampening collar. Shuts down all mutant abilities." The officer said, lowering his mask. "Can't get it off, unless you've got a grenade." You noticed Russel's burning hands dim as they started to return to a more natural tone. "Wade. Something's up." You said lowly in his ear. "No kidding! Since when did these things exist? We've had like what; 6 x-man films? Could have used one of those in the first act." You shook your head. "No I mean with this... place." You looked around at the scene of the crime, eyes finally settling on the building. "I don't trust it." "It's public education. No one fully trusts it." Wade replied nonchalantly.

Before you could continue, a professionally dressed man, standing next to the building, spoke up. "Thank you. That was absolutely thrilling." Wade turned and followed your gaze. "True heroism in action. We are in your debt. We an take it from here." He said, giving a slight nod to one of the workers. Russel's breathing heightened as he spoke is breathless wisps. "Take me to the icebox please." Wade turned and looked at him in surprise. "Anywhere is better than here." "Believe me son, you do not want to go to the icebox. That place makes Hitler's anus look like Y-key-key." (what?)

"Let's get you inside young man!" The well-dressed man said, walking forward while swinging his keys. "Wade." You said, your tone a mix of warning and concern. "No wait wait, wait." Wade said, holding up his finger. The man and his two workers halted. "Y-you guys just stay there." Wade slowly turned back to Russel and leaned down. Lifting the collar, he spoke lowly. "Those guys hurt you?" He asked gently. He dropped the collar back down. "Who?" He said, his voice transitioning into a soft fury. Russel simply turned and looked at the three men awaiting him. "Balilocks? Jared Kushner? Both of them?" He asked, nodding. Russel took a shaky breath and nodded. You turned your head, face wearing a deep frown and glanced at the men. Almost everyday you were out on the streets, killing people. But never in your life you would you dream of doing anything horrible towards a child. Unless maybe they were Satan himself. But children were the future of this world. You knew that. Any you knew Wade knew that as well.

"Awwww f*ck it." You were taken out of your thoughts at the sound of Wade's voice. "Four or five moments!" He suddenly yelled. "Oh no." You mumbled, taking a step backwards as Wade stood up. "I'm sorry?" The man asked. "Four or five moments. That's all it takes to be a hero." Wade walked by you and you turned to see Negasonic flipping him off in the background. "People think you wake up a hero, brush you teeth a hero, ejaculate into a soap dispenser a hero." For the second time that day, you sound yourself facepalming and the sound of Colossus mumbling in the background. "No! Being a hero takes only a few moments. A few moments, doing the ugly stuff," You saw Wade reach for his gun." Doing what no one else will.

As Wade began to turn around, you ran out of the way, running to Colossus's side as Wade drew his gun and shot one of the workers in the face. He then continued to fire at the old man as the first body fell to the ground. "No!" Colossus yelled, running away from you and tackling Wade to the ground. You then followed Nega as she marched over to where Colossus was half-strangling Wade, half about to punch him in the face. "No!" Nega yelled at Colossus. She then turned to you. "Why didn't you stop him?!?" You glared at her. "What makes you think I could?!?"

"You were right Wade, you are NOT X-men material!" "N-nnooo sh*-*t shiny Gandi!" Wade choked out. "What was your first clue? The hollow point through that f*ckheads face?" That kid was abused! You can always tell!" You found yourself nodding. Despite the fact that perhaps murder wasn't the best choice, it was the choice of those like Wade and yourself and the lifestyle you lived. "There are rules! You are not judge, jury, or executioner." "F*ck your rules! I fight for what's right and sometimes you got to fight dirty!" Colossus shook his head. "You let me down for the last time Wade." He said. Moving away from him, Colossus got up and let the swarm of officers surround your boyfriend. You began to take a step forward but found a large metal arm blocking your path. "No Y/N." Colossus said. "Wade choose his path. Do not let him choose for you." You glared at him. "So you would rather let that kid have been abused then?" You turned and looked at Nega. "Both of you?" They remained silent and you scoffed. "Despite his actions, Wade was right you know. Have fun with your X-team." You dropped one of your guns to the floor. "I quit." Quickly, you scooped back up your gun. "And I'm taking this with me." You added before turning and beginning to walk away.

Approaching an officer, you watched as Wade was given a collar. "Ma'm. I need to you step back please." He said, holding up his hand. You frowned, making eye contact with Wade. "This man is going to the icebox. And I suggest if you don't want to go with him, kindly step out of the way." Wade shook his head slightly, noticing your grip on your gun. With furrowed brows, you lowered your hand back down below your thigh and turned away. Wade was off to the icebox, a maximum security prison, with no powers, no allies, and a collar that took away everything he had, including the only defense he had against cancer.

You felt tears of frustration build up in the back of your eyes as you pushed through the dispersing crowd of onlookers and disappeared around a corner in search of a drink.

A/N: Hope you all enjoyed this chapter!  I figured the best move for Y/N was probably not getting into the icebox as I think it would be impossibly to get her out until much later in the movie plot.  Anyways, I'll see you all lovely readers next, next week when I publish the next chapter!  Until next time!
