Your P.O.V

Thanks to the kush, you didn't really recall much of your ride home, only how much you really craved Mac and cheese and philosophized about why worms had no arms.  Oh corse, it wouldn't being philosophizing without singing along to some mindless tunes of which Dopiender happily provided.

"The snow glows white... mountain... footprint to be seen...". Great.  Now it would be another five years before you could let go of the 'Let it Go' song.  You sighed and placed one arm behind your head as a pillow and shifted as you lay sprawled over the entire backseat of the cab.  Your second arm went over your eyes, sealing you off from the world.

From his driver's seat, Dopiender leaned forward and looked up through his windshield. "Uh Ms. Y/N?" You lifted your arms off your face, still staring at the ceiling from the backseat from which you lay. "Yea Dope-in-heimer?" You said, calling him by his newest nickname. "You may want to come and take a look at this. Your home..." Dopiender trailed off and shook his head. Curious, you sat up just as he pulled over to the sidewalk across the street.

Your entire apartment building was up in flames, with shattered glass and rubble paving the street. It was clearly an explosion and it seemed your apartment in particular was the epicenter. You quickly opened the car door and took a step into the street.  You thought back to Al. She said he was going to do something stupid but you didn't know that she also meant borderline retarded. You screamed in rage and kicked the nearest thing to you, an innocent trash can. You left a sizable dent in it as you began to scream out a stream of curses. "Son of an Egyptian Protestant! WAde you assw*pe upon the Earth! My mother's motherf*cking cream cheese spreader was in there you b*tch!" You yelled at the window of your apartment.  You squinted, trying to look inside, but the window was curtained by a layer of flames.

After you screamed out a bit you gave a sinister laugh, your sanity had been abused enough this week and it seemed it was finally about to break. "Oh that is it! I'm calling Metal-face!" You screamed at the flames. "You hear me Wade? This is your fault!" You pointed aggressively at the fire.  Reaching into the pocket of your suit, you pulled out your phone and began to scroll through your contacts.  Colossus had given you a number a long time ago for 'emergencies' as he called it. You quickly found the contact labeled, kissass #3 and dialed.

"Hello this is Professor Xavier's school for gifted youngsters. I'm sorry we are unable to get to the phone right now. Please leave a message as the beep. The phone beeped and you began to yell. "Colossus get your shiny kissass over here! I am about three steps away from my apartment of which Wade just kindly blew up and two steps away from going on a murder spree. Get here asap! We need to find my mother's cream cheese spreader!" You took a deep breath, ready to yell some more before you hit decided better of it and hung up.

Leaning into your hands, you let out another scream.  In this moment, all you wanted to do was throw down your phone in frustration but you stopped yourself last minute.  Your phone wasn't exactly a nokia and all your spare cash was currently burning away in a hot tub. Furious, you threw you arms down to your side and stomped your foot, screaming like a father stepping on a lego. "F*ck!"

Wade's P.O.V

The last thing Wade heard before his apparent death was the rumble of the gas canisters underneath his head before he was delivered into darkness by a flash of light. Wade felt as though he was falling, falling through his memories. First, he was Vanessa smiling. Then, Y/N laughing. Two images Wade would often see in his head when he was worried or upset.

Wade plunged into the water and further into darkness.  The only light source being somewhere below him. Swimming to the bottom, Wade emerged to find himself standing in a vaguely familiar room. With a jolt, he recognized it as the apartment Vanessa and Daniel shared. Y/N and Wade had visited a few times for game nights and their housewarming party. But in the bright room, there seemed to be shadows encasing a small area of the room in a square. The exact area where the photo of Vanessa had been taken. The exact spot of her death.

Wade ran up to the square but it wouldn't let him pass through.  It wouldn't let him reach Vanessa, who was sitting on the floor inside, looking through pictures of her and Daniel. All around, flashes of voices could be heard, but Wade couldn't pick out anything they were saying besides Vanessa's laughter mixed with his own and Y/N's.

Wade slammed his hand down on the invisible wall, calling out Vanessas's name. "Vanessa?... Vaness!" "Vaness, there's something here I can't get to you!" Nonchalantly, Vanessa's head turned away from her photos and matched eyes with Wade. "Your heart's not in the right place." Wade furrowed his brow. "Wait, hold on. What?" "Your heart's not in the right place." Vanessa repeated. Wade stuttered with his words, unable to talk fast enough. "W--wait,. Wh-what do yyou m-mean my heart's not int he right place? W-what does it..."
Then, there was the sound of a door opening and a flash of light as Wade was dragged upwards through the water and back in a hell-ish reality.

"Ewww!  His heart's smeared all over this wall!"  At first, everything seemed to blend together, the lights, sounds, all warbled into an indistinguishable sense.  Wade could hear the crunch of glass underfoot and could taste his cooked flesh in his mouth.  He tried to blink to clear his eyes but it seemed his eyelids hadn't grown back yet.  Wade mentally shook his head, trying to clear his brain.

Looking in the corner of his eye, Wade could barely make out a blurred figure making their ways through the debris.  And when Wade said through he meant it literally.  Instead of the person weaving around the fallen beams and metal shards, they walked through them, pushing them aside as if they were water and the person was oil.

"Wade? Oh gosh!"   The figure loomed over him.  "I found him!... well... most of him.  Make sure to bring over the pooper scooper over here!  We're going to need to use it." Wade recognized the voice as Y/N as he watched her step through yet another beam.  No doubt she was using her powers to destabilized the structures and pass by them.  Y/N matched eyes with Wade, a mix of anger, sadness, but mainly concern crossed his face as she realized he was conscious.

"Oh my gosh! Wade! Baby, are you ok? Wade! WADE!" But Wade was fading out again. He didn't even try and fight it. The last thing he saw before slipping back into darkness were two heavy looking, metallic feet between the rubble, heading in the direction of him and Y/N.

A/N: Hope you all enjoyed this weeks's chapter!  Just some news for next week; I move into my collage dorm on Tuesday next week so the new chapter may come out later than usual.  In addition, I might just change the day of publication to some day other than Tuesday as Tuesday actually the day where I have a 12 hour class schedule (8 in morning till 8 at night).  I'll have that new later though as I'm still unsure when.  anyways, thanks for reading and see you next week!
