Chapter 15

 All right, so my grandpa doesn't know that Cole is here. Not just him but my entire family doesn't know I'm living with a boy in the apartment.

"Care to explain why a boy is living here?" my grandpa asks calmly

"Uh -- he's just here cause he -- he doesn't have a place to stay." I lie

"Hey!" Cole reacts "Save your lies. I already told him the truth."

"Uh -- th - the truth?" I ask him nervously while waiting for Cole to answer

"Yeah, I told him that the purpose I'm here is to help you look like a human for your fiance and I also told him that I'm gay." he gives me wink

Oh God. "Yeah, that's why he's here." I'm really bad at lying.

"Good thing that you're taking this seriously." he stands up and walks in front of me "I'm just so happy you're giving Nicky a chance."

"Yeah, sure grandpa." I give him a forced smile

"I just came here to make sure you're okay and to pay this months rent." he looks at Cole "You can stay here as long as you'd like, Cole."

"Well then, I better be off." he gives me another hug before walking to the main door.

As soon as grandpa closes the door, I turn to Cole and give him a death glare.

"What?" he looks at me while eating his pizza

"What did you two talk about before I arrived?" I ask him

"You heard me earlier, that was it." he shrugs

"Whatever" I roll my eyes at him and head towards my room

"Hey, what movie are we gonna watch tonight? I bought ice cream."

"If you think you can bribe me ---"

"Cookies and cream"

"A walk to remember, I'll get changed first. And please leave me at least one slice of pizza."I run to my room and quickly change into my shorts and as usual, T-shirt. I wonder how he knows that it's my favorite or maybe it's just a coincidence. When I step out of my room

"How dare you play the movie without me!" I scream at him

"It's not like you haven't seen this movie yet." he rolls his eyes.

Me and Cole watches the movie without talking to each other. Good thing he's not like other people who always talk during the movie. After the movie, Cole looks like he got bored of it. So I decide to clean up.

"One question, Amber." Cole suddenly speaks "If you have to choose between a man who is faithful and a man who is loyal, which would it be?" he added

"I want a man who is loyal. I mean, faithful... no, loyal. Ugh, what's the difference anyway?" I walk to the kitchen while bringing the pizza box and Cole brings the leftover ice cream and spoons.

"Actually, there is a difference." he says while placing the ice cream on the fridge and me washing the spoons.

"A man who is loyal is like eating his favorite pizza and he eats ice cream but still, he goes back to pizza." he says with a serious face, this is the first time I've seen him like this.

"A man who is faithful is like eating his favorite pizza and won't eat another food unless it's pizza. Get what I mean?"

"Wow." that was all I can say. Cole really left me speechless.

"So, the next time someone asks you that question, make sure you know what you really want." he gives me a warm smile. "Anyway, that movie was great. Good night." he kisses me in the forehead and heads to his room.

Wait, what just happened? Why did Cole kiss me in the forehead? And what was that all about? He really is bipolar. So does this mean that we're friends?

Cole's POV

Why did I kiss Amber's forehead? Good job Cole, now Amber is gonna think that you like her or something.

When we were kids, every time I tell her good night, I always kiss her forehead after we play and go home, even after I bully her, she still lets me kiss her forehead. So maybe I kissed her by instinct. But, is that really what I feel for her?

I remember that day when Amber thought that I left her that day when she was almost late to school. The truth is, I was waiting in the car for her at the parking lot. When I saw her walk out the apartment, I followed her. She really looks cute when she gets angry. When I was about to get her, a car passes and stops beside her. I can see it in her eyes that she really liked what she saw. The car looks familiar, I'm guessing it's probably Nick. Amber doesn't really have other friends and with the look in her eyes, I'm guessing it's not Rachel.

When I arrive at school, I was just so pissed. That I wrapped my arms around another girl. But then I thought that wasn't right. So I went to where Amber and Rachel was sitting and I overheard Amber inviting Rachel to go camping this weekend. I was so sure Nick invited Amber. No way that I'm letting my fiance go camping with another man. There's just no way in hell I'm gonna sit here and knowing that another man has hands on my fiance.

I shake my head and snap out of it.Wait -- what am I thinking? Isn't that the reason why I'm here, to help Nick and Amber to be together? But it looks like Amber can do it anyway..and isn't that what I want? To escape from this marriage?

Ever since I knew that me and Amber are engaged, I immediately broke up with my girlfriend cause it feels like I'm cheating on her. But I promised her I'll come back once I settle things with Amber. The only people who knows about my girlfriend are Aiden and Mark.

After me and my ex-girlfriend broke up, we didn't really talk much. Anyway, I'm still confused what I'm going to do with Amber though. Is this possible? That I'm loving two people at the same time? I sigh in my mind. Am I really in love with my fiance?
