Foolish Martyr

I woke up with you beside me,
Greeted me with kisses, I smiled with glee.
But in your eyes I've seen,
Those painful yet sweet lies that fooled me.

I tried to conceal it,
No matter how it hurts, I can't admit.
I can't argue because I love you even
without a permit.
But never did I regret that thing that I commit.

I've been numb,
Not aware of what we'll become.
But the moment you sprinkled some sweet crumbs,
I once again became lost to the thought I never yet overcome.

I love you,
But my plan on forgetting your sin screwed.
I'm not the only one and I knew,
Just waiting for the right time to confront you the truth.

Blinded by your lies,
Still in sober from endless cries,
But the skies know I'm wise,
I know that I'll come back in your arms as I arise,
Ready to be a fool once again, but I'll already be apprise.
