Right after Tsuna and co. defeated Daemon Spade, Daemon used all of his left power to darken Tsuna's 'egg'. After that he went unconscious for a few days. After he was awake, he goes to a park which connects Namimori and Seiyo and meets the students of Seiyo Academy.
Those students have 'charas' and found out that Tsuna's 'egg' was missing. Not long Tsuna was changed drastically. He became a person with negative thinking and disappear from his home. The Seiyo Academy's Guardians once found him again, when he was very deppresed in his thought. That's when the Guardians found out his chara has an 'X'.
