"This week we are having temperatures around the eighty's with skies of blue." said the weather lady on the TV. The square box TV sat on its stand in a living room built into a home on 53 Lotus Lane. Sitting on the couch was a thin young woman with dark green eyes and brunette hair. "You can expect sunny days and can plan your summer plans without interruption." Said the weather lady. Another woman walked in from the kitchen. She had vibrant orange hair with fair skin and eyes that were an auburn color. She was slightly more heavy set than the young woman sitting on the couch.

She walked over to the couch to give her housemate a hug from behind. "Looks like a good day to visit London," she said, giving her a kiss on the cheek. The woman sitting, smirked and disregarded her kiss, "Melody, I'm not too interested in leaving this couch today." Melody straightened her back and moved to the opposite cushion and sat on both her knees. "Come on Shim." She begged. Shim was the nickname she gave to her when they met, which was a very unnatural way to meet someone. "We can take Ava school shopping." she said, "since tomorrow is her first day of school. Shimmerly didn't like that nickname, but just let Melody call her that so she did not get offended. "I already took Avery school shopping." She said. "Why do you want to go shopping?" Melody wrapped her arm around Shimmerly's torso and rested her head her shoulder, "Well, I don't want to go shopping I just wanna go to London." Shimmerly put one hand around Melody. "Why though?"

"I wanna be in the city," she declared, "cause where I come from there aren't many cities like London." Shimmerly pet Melody's hair, "Trust me angel there are several cities like London in this realm." Melody pulled away from Shimmerly, "Yeah, you keep telling me that and that just makes me wanna visit these cities." Melody has never been outside of the UK before, and is very new to the cultures of the world all together.

It has only been fifteen months since she was banished from her realm. Her father had several names to go by in her realm; General to his subjects, The Broken King to the few rulers left, and Father to his offspring. However, his true title, given at his coronation, names him The King of Angels. Many rebels and countries have tried to tear down his reign but most have failed, including Melody's assault. She was used as a weapon during the war on both her mothers and fathers sides. Though when it came time to choose, she chose her mother and was put in the frontlines to lead the assault on the kings city of which he stayed. Alas, she and her army were defeated after a devastating battle and was taken hostage. She was sentenced to be exiled, for he loved his daughter too much to kill her.

"I know you want to travel, but we need money to do that." Melody nodded in understanding. Suddenly a small girl walked in from upstairs wearing pink pajamas covered with Koala bears. "Momma," She referred to Melody, "What's for breakfast?" Melody pointed to the kitchen where their dining table was set up with ready silverware and glass plates. "I made waffles and there's fresh green tea, brewed it just this morning." Shimmerly looked to Melody with a small smile on her face, "Well look at you being a little housewife." Melody turned bright red and couldn't help but smile, "Thank you'' The young girl ignored their lovey dovey behavior to pass them with curiosity of what was in the kitchen. "Momma, where do I sit this morning?" Melody rolls her eyes and got up to help the little girl. "You don't have an assigned seat for every morning, Avery," She said, "You just choose a seat." She pulled out a chair for the little girl to sit. She climbed in the chair and started to reach for the waffles with her hands, which were quickly slapped down by Melody. "You don't just grab," She scolded, "You use your fork to grab a waffle." She demonstrated using her fork and stabbing through the waffle and setting it on her plate. "Now you try." Avery nodded and took hold of her fork to copy Melody. She pulled the waffle to her plate with success. "Good good," she said as she pet Avery's hair, "now you use your fork to cut it into smaller pieces to eat so you don't choke." The young girl grabbed the butter knife and began cutting with visible difficulty, but Melody figured she would get the hang of it eventually. She walked back to Shimmerly, "Man, she is a lot of work." She said as she plopped onto the couch. "You were the one who brought her home." Melody quickly whipped her head around to Shimmerly in agitation, "What was I supposed to do?"
