just some stuff that happens with me and my friends. a lot of it is past tense/old funny stories, but with my group of friends I think I'll have more as we navigate high school
this should be interesting
Today my cross country team had a meet. It's an invitational we've gone to all 3 years it's been running. I can't run right now due to a knee injury :( BUT ONE OF OUR BOYS PLACED FIRST IN THE VARSITY BOYS RACE and AND HE SET A COURSE RECORD
So, how that went down.
Me and 4 of my other friends were waiting for the boys to finish the race at the finish line. Then we hear people from our team start yelling and see them losing their freaking minds
(Some background here, our varsity boys are awesome. But this race we hadn't heard anything about them being any of the top 3 racers so none of us saw it coming)
We looked and saw our best runner coming towards the line. WITH NO ONE BEHIND HIM So, naturally, in true cross country fashion, we screamed at the top of our lungs. And I ended up losing my voice because of the aforementioned sister sickness. So that like, made my weekend. Another funny thing, we were waiting at the 2 mile mark to see all of our JV guys go past us, and when the last one came by we sprinted the last mile to the finish line and JUST made it to see the first JV runner cross and finish.

^someone said "hey we should do that basic homecoming/prom picture pose" so we did it 😂 (we all died laughing after the first one bc we almost fell over OOF) none of us really got it tho lol
