She's hit rock-bottom
time and time again.
But no matter how far she goes there is never an end.
Head far under
no one hears her screams.
Help, help me, please!
Better yet just drown me.
All her insecurities
at the end of her rope
She splashes them in.
Given no hope.
In line waiting
almost her turn to jump.
But a hand on her shoulder
pulls her back to shore.
Her eyes Glint with diamonds
But she won't let them cry.
She shivers.
Not from the cold, but from her thoughts she almost died.
Never been so sure
of anything in her life
now she is alone
but glad to be alive
Though her shadow still creeps the wrong way
She can make it through
one more day.
