Chapter 10: The Singularity

Ariane 5 Ballistic Cruise. 16,950,000 miles away from Earth. Year 2118.

Avionics are unceasingly beeping sounds and blinking lights. Both are noticeable because the pathway going to Xin Family's deck is exhibiting quietness and darkness.

Xin Family was a high-profile figure in China from 2040 to 2050. They revolutionized eco-warrior robots that specialize on helping the environment. EcoBots, a Beijing-based company which was owned by Xin Family, was at the peak of their game until the Big Wave of 2050 emerged. iRobot, a US-based company, took advantage of the opportunity by buying all the rights of EcoBots. They then pushed on developing robots with Artificial Intelligence (AI) which eventually led to Artificial Superintelligence (ASI).

Xin Fei is a Mission Specialist (MS). He coordinates all cruise operations with the commander and the pilot. He has comprehensive understanding of all space craft systems, in depth knowledge of operation procedures, requirements and objectives as well as the supporting equipment for each component on space missions. Xin Fei (father), Xin Feng (mother), and Xin Lin (son) were part of the casualties during the 2050 Big Wave. They are manufactured products of iRobot's Technological Singularity for Artificial Superintelligence (TSASI).

Gabriel was already past asleep when Zuri sent an encrypted message to Xin Fei – "GBH detected. DP needed. Ping ASAP.".
Xin Fei responded, "Analyzing signals and waves. Drop by 7AM.".

Xin Fei gathers all the information from Elise Black Hole Detector (EBDH) and compares it with the results from Ariane 5 flight deck. He then sends the executive report to NASA for review and assessment.

"We're getting closer to our primary goal. These humans will soon be gone.", communicated by Xin Fei to a holographic image.
"They are persistent. Even if they survive the Black Hole, they will never last in the Red Planet.", answered by the entity behind the hologram.

Xin Lin witnessed and recorded the conversations. He is programmed to behave like a flight recorder also known by the misnomer – black box.

Meanwhile, Persephone deactivated its invisibility dome. Ol'H, associate head of Persephone Control Center, detected the presence of a spacecraft and a giant Black Hole from million miles away.

"I have a presentiment that someone special is on board the spacecraft.", whispered by Ol'H while drawing a music box using his Augmented Reality (AR) device.
