Epic! Sans x Reader

"Come on (Y/n)!" Mettaton pleaded.

I shook my head, my eyes not leaving my book, "I already told you I didn't want to go." Mettaton was trying to get me to help Alphys and him with a project. They wanted to make some kind of electrical device?

I didn't want to be a part of it so I didn't listen. I felt Mettaton grab the back of my jacket and pull. I stumbled backward and fell on my rear end.

I glared up at Mettaton before grabbing my book and tucking it under an arm.

"If I do this will you leave me alone?" I asked, standing up. Mettaton nodded rapidly before clapping his hands.

"I knew you would agree! It will be so much fun!" he said, dragging me towards Alphys lab.

"Mettaton!" I shouted, catching his attention before we entered the building, "This had better be as easy as you said it would be."

He nodded his head rapidly, "It will be! We just need you to make sure the wires and such are in the right place." I sighed for what seemed like the millionth time today and headed into Alphys lab.

The lights were lit already, signifying that she was here. Before either of us could call to Alphys, there was a inadequate explosion from the next room.

We both looked at each other before sprinting towards the room.

We were greeted by Alphys and a skeleton covered in black. I held back a giggle as the skeleton looked at me. He gave me a lazy smile to which I returned with a small one of my own.

"What happened darlings!" Mettaton fussed, helping Alphys clean off.

"It-it was no-nothing! We ju-just had a-a small m-miscalculation!" Alphys reassured, wiping off her face. I had made my way towards the large table with notes scattered everywhere. I glanced from page to page and pieced together that they were making a robot.

"Pretty cool huh bruh." a deep voice said, making me jump. I turned around and saw the skeleton standing there, still covered in black gunk. I nodded my head and turned back towards the notes.

"Impressive if I must say," I muttered, moving a few pages around, "but the formula is wrong here, along with the wire order." I pointed out taking a nearby pencil and jotting the corrections down.

I heard the skeleton laugh slightly from behind me, "So we have a mechanic and a scientist. Pretty interesting bruh." I felt my face flush slightly at his words. I didn't trust myself to say words so I just nodded.

"Sans," Mettaton started, striding over to us, "this is my good friend (Y/n), (Y/n) this is Sans." I set the pencil down and turned to face them.

"Nice to meet you, Sans," I said, sticking my hand out. He took it in his bony one and shook it.

"You too bruh." We stood there for a bit, holding hands and awkwardly looking at each other. That was until Alphys said something.

"Shouldn't-Shouldn't we g-get started?" she asked, now wearing a new coat. I nodded and started to explain what went wrong and how to fix it.

"Other wire," I muttered sleepily. I was currently sitting crossed legged on a table while the other three worked on the robot. Everyone was tired but refused to go to sleep as I had said I would only help one day and they really needed my help.

My eyes moved lazily over all three of them until they landed on Sans. As if he sensed me looking, he looked over and smiled. I blushed and smiled back before looking somewhere else.

I was thinking about how I needed to stop looking at Sans when Alphys yelp broke me from my thoughts.

"Ouch," she muttered, tears pricking out of her eyes. I jumped off the table and looked at her hand. There was a small burn on it.

"That's enough for the day. All of you go home and we can continue tomorrow." I said, placing an ice pack Mettaton had grabbed on her hand. "No comments." I finished noting Alphys about to speak.

She must have known I wasn't going to argue because she nodded and started grabbing her things.

Her and Mettaton were the first ones to leave and then Sans.

"Bruh, you sure you don't want me to stay?" he asked. I shook my head.

"I'm just going to organize some papers for Alphys them leave. Have a good night." I said waving goodbye as he left.

Once I was sure that he had left, I rolled up my sleeves and started working. I was determined to finish this robot as the other three had spent a lot of effort on it.

It was maybe 2 hours since everyone left when I had finished. There was only one thing to do and that was put in the battery. I sat in a chair for a moment to rest. Before I knew it, I had fallen asleep.

I woke up to hushed voices. I opened my eyes and the first thing I noticed was the large purple coat wrapped around me. The next thing I noticed was the people. It was Mettaton, Sans, and Alphys.

"What do you mean you didn't do this?" Mettaton asked Sans, "(Y/n) said she wasn't going to actually help make it."

Sans shrugged but glanced at me. I noticed he didn't have his jacket and pieced two and two together. I pulled it further around myself. Sans winked and turned back to talking with the other.

I knew my face was bright red by now. So, to hide it I dug my face into the jacket and fell back asleep.

This was kinda all over the place...Sorry if it wasn't how you wanted! I'm kinda just out of ideas...
