"That is an obscene amount of glitter," I chuckled, downing the rest of my water before dropping it into the recycling. My roommate dropped her head to the table with a groan.

"Please (Y/n)," she begins, craning her head up to look at me, "I'm a psychology major, not an art major. I don't even know why my bio professor wants a 'pretty' model of a volcano." She grumbles before turning back to her project. A paper mache volcano covered in glitter.

I laughed at her pain before placing my hand on her shoulder in sympathy, "I know Bugs, I know. But hey think on the bright side, you're almost done for the semester which means no more bio." I pointed out scanning through the cupboards looking for something to snack on.

"Touch one thing and I'm putting child locks on everything." an irritated voice sighed from the entrance of the kitchen. I closed my eyes and dramatically groaned as I spun to face my other roommate.

"Please Tae, I'm starving and when I die it's gonna be your fault," I whined opening my eyes to give them the best puppy dog eyes I could. But instead of puppy eyes, they were met with an ear-splitting 'oh fuck'. This was followed by me dropping the box I was holding.

Besides my roommate stood two skeletons. One very short one, and one very tall one. The tall skeleton looked worried while the other one looked almost disgusted. Monsters had been around for a while. It wasn't uncommon to see them walking along the streets and attending schools. Hell, I even worked with a few.

However, that was not going to change the fact that two random strangers had just appeared out of thin air. I placed a hand on my chest and point my other palm out at the three figures in the doorway.

"I am so sorry," I began, my eyes widening as I realized how it seemed I was screaming because they were monsters, "I was not expecting anyone other than Tae to be and I now realize that me screaming at you was not a good way to introduce myself. Um, so I'm (Y/n)."

Silence filled the air and everything was still. Before Bugs started keeling over laughing. 'Holy shit!" she cackled, "Oh my god I'm gonna pee myself!" She placed her head on the table, trying to settler her laughter. As her laughter turned into more mute chuckles I found a hand falls onto my shoulder.

"Please (Y/n). Calm down," Tae said, rolling their eyes out of pure exhaustion. The larger of the two skeletons had stepped towards me and thrust out a hand.

"Hello!" They exclaimed cheerily, "MY NAME IS PAPYRUS! MY BROTHER AND I ARE YOUR NEW ROOMMATES! IT'S GREAT TO MEET YOU!" I placed my hand in his and shook, a confused look crossing my face. New roommates? I racked my brain for any thought on getting new roommates.

My mind flashed back to the one time Tae walked in on my half-awake study session at 6 in the morning when they were heading to work. I now remember them telling me that in two weeks we would be getting two new roommates. However, at the time I was very convinced they told me we were getting a new couch...

Regardless I smiled at him, "Well then Papyrus, welcome! I'm sorry about yelling before I was just surprised that it wasn't just Tae." he assured me it was alright and excused himself to go greet Bugs.

I watched him walk away when out of my peripheral I noticed a bony hand stretched out in front of me. I turned my attention to the smaller skeleton of the two. He looked a little cautious before reaching a hand out to greet me.

"Sans, Sans the skeleton," he said, grabbing my hand and shaking. A high pitch rumble noise was heard as something between our hands squished. It was until Papyrus started scolding Sans that I realized what had happened. I missed the whoopie cushion in his hand.

I froze for a moment before laughing, "(Y/n), (Y/n) the human," I responded, Sans eye sockets widening a bit as he looked just a little bit pleased with himself.

It had been a few months of the two skeletal brothers living with us. Over those months, my relationship with them grew, specifically, my relationship with Sans.

It had gotten to the point that I knew I had developed a large crush on them. But there was no way in hell I was gonna say anything. I was not going to risk the whole roommate dynamic becoming weird just because of my little crush.

I shook my head to get the thoughts out of my head before turning back to my homework. Just a few more pages left and I was home free. With the rough draft done, I would be able to finally go to bed. Just as I began the conclusion, a soft knock was heard on my door.

"Come in!" I shouted, not turning from my position. "What's up? If you give me like 5 seconds I can give you my full undivided attention." It didn't matter who it was so I didn't bother glancing up.

There were sounds of footsteps coming closer as I finished typing out my final thoughts. The back of my chair tipped slightly as two bony hands bumped against my back as they messed with the rolling chair I sat on.

I jumped slightly and turned my head to be greeted with Sans lazy face smiling at me. I sighed out in mock irritation as I typed the last few words and pushed my chair around to face the skeleton.

"What can I do for ya, sir?" I asked, arms raising into the air to stretch out the kink that had formed in my back while sitting for so long. Sans raised a piece of paper before starting.

"Would ya mind taking a look at the outline? My editing brain is bone dry and I need another pair of eyes to look at it for me," he asked, laughing lightly at his pun. I rolled my eyes playfully and nodded while grabbing the paper and a pen to write down any thoughts I had for the writing. Sans placed one hand back on the chair and the other on the desk, supporting himself while he observed what I was doing. My cheeks reddened slightly as I noticed just how close he was.

I told myself that the lack of space between us meant nothing. God, I was getting to caught up in my brain. I wrote down a few minor things and suggestions as I worked my way through the outline. Sans had moved so that now he stood completely behind me, both hands on the arms of my chair as he lowered himself closer to my head level. His eyes scanned the paper and he nodded in understanding.

I finally had enough then he placed his head on my shoulder. I stopped writing and turned to look at him out of the corner of my eye.

"And what do you think you're doing?" I asked, trying to sound like I was joking. He shrugged a little before burying his head into my neck. "Seeing how long it takes you to realize I'm in love with you."

My heart stopped. My body froze as the pencil I was holding fell from my hand. He what? I had to be hearing things. There was no way that this cliche little confession was happening. "What," I mumbled out, hoping I had misheard while another part of me was praying my eyes were right.

"Oh come on kid. Don't make me repeat myself. Tibia honest, this was a pretty difficult thing to do. So uh, how bought ya do me a favor and just reject me if that what you're gonna do." he said, not moving his head and letting out a light-hearted chuckle.

"No, no, no!" I exclaimed in a panic, turning my chair to face him. He had let go in a panic at my rushed words as he took a step back. His eye sockets raised in surprise. "I mean, I'm not gonna reject you. I'm just, surprised." I stumbled out. My brain going too fast to process what was happening at once.

A look of relief crossed Sans's face as he let out-breath of air he was holding in. "Oh thank the stars," he said, looking at me. There was a slight pause as we both just stared at each other. In moments it faded away into both of us laughing.

I stood up as our fit of giggles ended. Sans took the first action and stepped towards me, wrapping his arms around my waist. "Stars your amazing." He mumbled pulling me closer. I felt my face flush but in this pure, blissful moment, I didn't care.

In the heat of the moment, I pulled away and placed my hands on the sides of his face, "Sans, can I kiss you?" I asked, any embarrassment fading away.

Sans held a look of pure adoration in his eyes, "Ah kid, You're gonna steal the thunder away from me. Tibia-honest-" I cut him off by placing my lips on his teeth. His eye sockets dimmed as my eyes closed. His hands were placed on my waist to stop me from pushing us over.

I pulled away but kept our faces close, "You already used that pun bonehead." I muttered watching as Sans face tinted blue as he laughed lightly. He leaned in for another kiss when a solid thud was heard.

We both jumped slightly and shot our heads to the door frame. There stood two familiar figures. Bugs and Papyrus. They looked at each other before sprinting down the stairs.

"You owe me $15 Papyrus!" Bugs screamed the footsteps faded and the sound of Bugs bedroom door slammed shut.

Sans and I turned back to each other as we both laughed awkwardly. He took a step forwards and grabbed my chin with his fingers, tilting me towards him, "Good night starlight," he muttered pulling me in for another kiss before letting me go and leaving my room.

I stood there in shock for a moment before falling onto my bed and giggling like a teenager in love. Oh god, I was down bad.
