Chapter 2: Saving Her

It usually only works if I want it or need it, but right now the whole world was standing still. I looked around seeing everyone perfectly still. Thinking about why this happened and how this happened, I walked around the room. I couldn't stop it and I don't know how. It must have some kind of purpose. I tried to hurt myself to make it stop, in case it works or if it was a dream. It didn't work... I looked around to see the still tripping woman. I walked over to her and held my hand around her to save her from falling.

Suddenly the time resumed again and I was quite in a shock. But then I realized that I had a woman in my hands. I immediately put her up.

Woman: "...I don't know what happened or how you did that but... thank you..." She said with a blue tint on her face.

Everyone looked in awe because of what just happened. I noticed this and started to blush.

(Y/N): "Oh it was nothing, really... hehe" scratching my neck.

Steven was the first one to speak up after the 2 minute silence.

Steven: "So this is Pearl, (Y/N). And Pearl, this is (Y/N)."

(Y/N): "H-Hey..." I said, stretching out my hand.

Pearl: "H-Hello..."

Her hand felt so soft and tender. I didn't notice that I stared at it for a few seconds before realizing it was too long.

(Y/N): "Ohh. I'm sorry..."

Steven: "So I already told it Garnet and maybe Amethyst heard too..." He turned to her. He just saw her, still smiling. Turning back around he said: "Anyways... (Y/N) saved my life back on the beach. There was this..."

I drifted away in my thoughts as he explained what happened. I just met these new people and it really scares me, just like expected. But all I can think of right now is this Pearl girl. I looked at her and noticed she looked at me too. We immediately looked away again. I noticed that we both blushed at that. As Steven finished the story, everyone, except Pearl, looked at me, leaving me blushing far too much.

Amethyst: "Coooooollll..." She said in awe.

(Y/N): "Well, nice to meet you guys. I guess I should go now." I made my way to the door.

(No-One's P.O.V.)

Steven turns to Pearl: "Can we please let him stay here? He doesn't have a home and he seems lonely..." he said in a sad tone.

Pearl: " Steven, we can't let a stra--- "

Steven: " PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE!?!?!?!?! "

Pearl: " Okay Okay. He can stay here. But he'll need to sleep on the couch ""How can I say no to that face? Ugh--"

Steven: "THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!" He hugged Pearl tightly.

Steven realized (Y/N) was already outside. He looked for him and saw him at the beach staring at the ocean, sitting. Steven didn't waste a second and runs down to him. Just when he was about to reach him, (Y/N) took off his shirt revealing a tourmaline gem on his back. He took his hoodie, laid it on the sand and began doing pushups. As he was done he turned around to see a stunned Steven.

(Y/N): "Why are you staring at me, Steven?"

Steven: "Y-You h-have something on y-your back."

(Y/N): "Oh yeah. That thing. I've had it since I was born. That's where I got my sword from."

To demonstrate what he said, he threw his sword into the air and bowed down only to let the sword disappear into his gem. He let it reappear and wrapped it around his waist again.

(Y/N): " Tadaaa " he said jokingly.

Steven still looked in awe but broke his silence.

Steven: "So you're a gem too?" He said with stars in his eyes again.

(Y/N): "So that's a gem? If you call it that. Sure, I guess."

"Well, you came here for a reason, right? So, what is it?"

Steven: "Oh... Yeah. Would you like to live with us? I mean... You saved my life and I kinda owe you something."

(Y/N) looked at him for a few seconds and let out a deep sigh. He didn't know what this feeling was and looked completely confused. He snapped out of his trance and nodded, smiling happily.
