Born so innocent.
Eyes not open,
For fear of seeing the world.
A mother and father
Who thought they could raise
A child
To their perfect standards.

The good you inspired in me.
But starry nights and Mac N' Cheese
Couldn't keep me
From the realization
That every day I count
Is another second with them.
I'm sorry, Pete.
I didn't think
Life would end
So fast.

P.p.S. Sorry about the really long PS
