Dear Future Me,

Today I did my usual morning routine, first jogging as always. Right when I was about to get my Starbucks coffee, my phone started to vibrate in my hand. I hesitated to see who's calling, first 'cause I only had my phone on for my music anyway and second 'cause I didn't want to talk to Charlie right at that moment. But I looked at the screen anyway and it was Shawn. SHAWN? was calling ME.

"Hello?"

"Hey Emily, I was just calling to see if you gave me a real number. Haha just kidding. I was calling to see what you're up to." LOL. He's a dork. But I like him.

"I went jogging and I'm at Starbucks right now. Do you want something?  I'll be back at the penthouse in 10. We can hang if you want." WE CAN HANG IF YOU WANT??? Okay, I lost my cool factor. WHY am I acting so chill though???

I could hear him smiling through the fucking phone. "Yeah. That would be so cool. Thanks! I'll take whatever you're having"

"Alrighty. See you then." ALRIGHTY? Is that even a word?

About 15 minutes later I knock on Shawn's door and it takes him like less than 5 seconds to open the door. "Hey" He looked like he was about to hug me, but then he saw the iced caramel macchiatos in my hands and went for a mildly awkward wave instead. He let me in and I saw that a lot of the furniture was already put up. Just some little things were missing, some paintings were still on the floor, only 3 chairs were at a table for 6 and the television didn't seem set up yet. I noticed that the apartment was built very similar to my apartment, but he does have a better view.

"You're view is so much better than mine. Wow. " The first thing I said. We went on drinking our coffees, and talking about Toronto and our favorite things to do here. I figured out that he is also obsessed with the burritos at Fat Bastard!! About 10 minutes into the conversation, Shawn had to go see Andrew Gertler, his agent, to finish some details about his small party tomorrow night. He apologized very nicely. He definitely seemed like he was enjoying talking to me which made me really happy.  The last thing he said to me was, "See you at the party."
