In the end
It was hopeless
A forsaken awful mess of stressPlay pretend
It's not enough
He'd never known about this stuffAn arm extends
So he has hope
Of climbing up off this slopeThe love it sends
He feels in bone
Nearly melting his heart of stoneDoes his search end
Is this the mate
To which he'd give his dying stateHe needs to mend
Still cracked in two
On a long road he must pursueHappiness around the bend
For now he knows
That he loves the one with which he goes
