9. the beach

Duffs pov:

It is almost 9am when we get out of the car. We take the bags up to my room.

"I need to leave for work in ten minutes." My mom says.

"Okay." I say. She closes my bedroom door.

"Your room looks nice." Axl says.
Izzy just sits on the ground.

"Hey Izz. Is everything okay?" I ask and sit down next to him.

"Yeah. No. I don't know how I feel." Izzy says.

"What's wrong?" I ask. Axl sits down next to me.

"Caren broke up with me." he says.

"What? Why?" I ask.

"She said I didn't pay enough attention to her. And she got mad that I'm visiting you. And we got in a fight and she broke up with me. She thought I was coming here to cheat on her." Izzy says.

I put my hand on his back to comfort him.

"She isn't worth it. You can get better." I say.

"Yeah. Axl said the same thing." Izzy says.

"What do you want to do so you feel better?" I ask him.

"I don't want you guys to worry about me. We can just do the things you've already planned." Izzy says.

"We can go to the beach." I say.

"That sounds nice." Axl says. Izzy nods.

We change our clothes and walk downstairs.

My mom already left.

I look at Stevens house as we start walking.

"Duff?" Axl says.

"Huh, what?" I ask.

"I asked how often you go to the beach." Axl asks.

"Oh. I hang out with some friends alnost every weekend at the beach." I say.

"Aha." Axl says.

We arrive at the beach. There aren't much people here.

We put a blanket on the ground and sit down.

"Do you have any luck with the ladies here?" Axl says.

"Well, there is one girl who is into me. We started talking yesterday." I say.

I want to tell them about Steven. But not here.

Steven: thank you for the advil
I needed it😂

I look at the message.

"You should go on a date with her." Izzy says.

"We're planning to get coffee soon." I say.

Duff: No problem

"There is a food stand right there. I'm kinda hungry." Izzy says.

"I have some money with me." I say and give him some.

"Thanks. I'll pay you back." He says.

"Don't worry about it." I say and smile.

"I'm coming too. I need to go to the toilet." Axl says. They both get up.

Steven: there is a party tomorow
Do you want to go?

Duff: Axl and Izzy are here

Steven: they can come too :)

I see Axl and Izzy walking back.
"Steven just told me there is a party going on tomorow." I say.
